The difference is that with engineer is that jackhammer is less flexible due to its limited timed use and your only allowed to use jackhammer while on it. Citron on the other hand? They can press one button and be transformed into a easy travel ball for as long as they like, along with that they have the ability to speed it up and do a charge attack that can damage zombies, which adds more distance. In total you get a character that can easily run up to you whenever they feel like it and stun you.

@@eduardobarros6562 you can’t sonic grenade while on the jackhammer meaning you would either have to wait for someone to approach you or exit jackhammer while in combat with someone in order to use sonic grenade. Citron while also needing to exit his ball, has the difference in which if you charge a zombie you’ll likely be behind them, or with speed boost you can go around them, in both of these scenarios you’ll have time to exit your ball without being bombarded with shots, and thus commence empeach. Then the reason many hate empeach is that right after any combat with a zombie that citron can go into their ball and flee the area until they have empeach again. Which is likely why people hate on empeach

@@Ilikearguements Engineer is a long range bully. He has jackhammer so he can escape with the speed or the knockback if plants get near. Citron on the other hand is supposed to be a tank but they kept forcing his balance to be a hit and run. Jackhammer is a better citron ball just for the fact you can attack without having to lose the boost.

Nah cant see E citron being higher than -B. My issues being: ●Its chain lighting is kinda useless on it. ●Full power shots taking like 3 seconds to charge, adding onto the cost of 1/3 of your mag. This adds up ALOT when going into other issues. ●Criminally offensive dropoff, like 20/30 meters, you already lost like half your power. Leaving you outgunned my many common zombies. ●Due to how weak uncharged shots are and how long it takes to charge, there's not much to do when being ambushed, or failing your point blank shots ●And i mentioned failing point blank shots because did I forget to mention how TINY the bullets are??? So even in your most ideal scenario there's still a good chance for you to miss anyway. So you have a character that is not only quite commital and situational, but also still inconsistent anyways. Maybe its just skill issue in my part but the only issue i see here is not picking Plasma pea instead, outclasses E citron in every way.

I will not accept this baseless Electro Citron slander You can go onto all this little intricacies like the range of the weapon and the ammo blah blah blah but the bottom line is that in optimal conditions, Electro Citron can kill things way faster than Iron Citron. If you learn how to spam the 2nd ~50dmg charge level, you can do it faster than Iron Citron reloads his bolt-action 50dmg, even with both reload upgrades. Hence, Electro Citron is at the very least somewhat comparable to Iron, and nowhere near "bad". Toxic Citron is way worse.

Forget just spamming mid charge shots, you can get a very low TTK with the max charge + mid charge shot combo. He is in essence the plant version of Cozmic, though the most annoying thing about him is how small the projectile is, which makes aiming the weapon all the more harder

Nerd time: There is a surprisingly competitive scene in gw2. Amazing players who host tournament matches in many different formats and take a kids game a little too seriously. However, as my friend is one of these people, and I've gathered enough info from him, I will give the official list as generally agreed upon by the best players. 6. Lime Citron. Complete shit, no dps, not viable in average matches to farm randoms, and less viable in comp matches against good players. Useless. 5. Iron Citron. Quite a jump up from lime, and understandably the highest on a list made based on average games. Great for farming randoms who don't know what hit them. Not as great against good players. His health is nice, but his lower dps, and lower speed hold him back, and against competent players, he will hardly ever get his iron mode. 4. Reg Citron. Good dps. Not much else to say. He's the regular variant and he's very good, but the others are just slightly stronger. 3. Party Citron. Same as reg but with a legendary mode. Once again, this will rarely occur, but he has no disadvantages so hes just reg with a super mode, making him slightly better. 2. Electro Citron. Nerfs did not make this variant worse, they made him harder. Requires skill to properly charge his shots while maintaining momentum from ball form in order to get in close range and instantly kill. INSANE dps. Average players may not be able to play him, but when he's played right, he's almost as op as he was before nerfs. 1. Frost Citron. Banned in most competitive play. Barely less dps than reg, while also adding even more lockdown to his already oppressive kit. Perfect support/tank who has the defensive ability of any citron, the dps to kill squishy enemies with a good jump, and 3 ways to lockdown (emp, roll, and freeze). Also, although his damage falls off at a range, the freeze does not, meaning you can even play him as a pseudo sniper to freeze people before rolling in close to finish the job. Very op (not as op as law pea, astronaut, etc. but pretty close). Idk why I felt the need to write all this over a game made for children but I get tired of seeing tier lists made by people who really don't know what they're talking about and I wanted to give a full list with explanations. I hope at least someone reads this and takes it into consideration. According to most pros' rankings, he is A tier with all the other citrons, and his ice does not make him better due to less dps. I think this video does a terrible job at explaining Electro Citron. This video doesn't even mention how is charged shots start dropping off the greater the charge and how it can lead into excellent kill times. As a electro Citron you have to use each chage shots right. Also doesn't even mention how the charge splashcan hit zombies through walls. I don't feel like going into a superdetailed explanation so sorry.

I see people defending E. Citron and saying that you just need to get better at him. Learning how to spam his second shot and all that nonsense when it’s all just like… ok, sure? But why bother when there are like four other variants that don’t REQUIRE that sort of technique to begin with? E. Citron to me is an ok character if you do put in the time and effort to master him, he _can_ shred through teams with proper play. But the big problem is that he is STILL too slow when it comes to breaking teams apart. Note, I’ve taken the time to actually understand and play this character “properly.” It was fun but overall, I was doing _worse_ than I would be if I was just playing say, regular Citron. E. Citron is not that great, pouring in the time to play him well just isn’t really worth it.
