Italy must be S tier, you start with a fairly large industry ( not huge but definitely not small by any metric) and you have access to a lot of weak, resource rich neighbour in the balkans which allows you to get army and airforce xp before the main war kicks off, your navy is also very respectable at the start, as well as having a ton of amazing focuses).

I put Italy pretty high up there. One thing that bothered me as Italy is how easily Mussolini or the current power can get overthrown. I remember one time I only lost a small part of core territory and that lead to Mussolini getting over thrown. Besides that Italy is very strong.

I feel like my biggest problem with this tierlist is not giving the 'No Step Back' nations enough credit, especially Poland. If you do go historical as Poland then you can actually hold for a decent while as you can release Belarus, Ukraine and Czechoslovakia (Zaolzie)as puppets which makes the Soviet Union's justification time longer. Un Historical Poland is very Overpowered as you can take over your neighbours very easily and core them, Plus you can always give Danzig away to Germany if they ask for it. Same goes for the Baltics. Not trying to be rude.

I probably should have thought more about alternative focus trees. I do agree with what you've said. Poland does have a very strong non historical focus tree. I also know you can give Danzig away but for some reason I didnt think about it. I never really thought about releasing puppets as a strategy but that's good to know. Keep in mind I made this tierlist in roughly an hour and there are some nations that probably could have had a higher rating. Sweden comes to mind at least for me. I also thought about putting Poland in a higher tier. By the way you weren't being rude and I'm not an expert. I appreciate your feedback.
