Thank you for 13 concurrent viewers :) I really didn’t expect so many people to be here at once. But here’s AENSO’s reasonings, as promised: 4: gatz w/ al ross ~ 0/10 you wanna know what this sounds like? this sounds like something i would have made in 2021 if i decided to make tearout (i was 13 years old back then). now normally in reasonings, i hate being negative like this, but gatz genuinely makes me die inside. the drops are so horribly produced that it's genuinely kind of laughable, the stabs are poorly processed, the drum choices are weird and take up like 75% of the mix, and the rapping at the beginning... oh my god, the rapping. it's trying so hard to be badass, when in reality it just sounds like an edgy teenager trying to sound like xxxtentacion (rip). and i honestly have no clue what al ross did, but he certainly didn't do anything to try and save it. yeah... gatz is awful, and i don't wanna touch it with a 10 mile pole. 3: finesse the world ~ 1.25/10 ehhhhh... this has the same problems as gatz does, just to a slightly lesser degree. the rapping at the beginning is genuinely so cringe, and just another example of blupill's shitty ass screamo style. the first drop is extremely forgettable, and there isn't really much to say about it besides the sustain is kinda garbage. but the second drop... i don't even know what happened. why is the sub bass so fucking rumbly?? my guess is that the stabs were overlayed with the sustain, and they both had subs in a different key, leading to just an absolute mess. but hey, at least the intro melody's kind of alright. 2: braa w/ point.blank ~ 3.5/10 braa is honestly not terrible. at least, the first and third drops aren't. now the concept of this is kind of fun, but sort of generic; it wants to be this anthemic beast of a track that's guaranteed to drive the people at lost lands absolutely crazy. i feel that the first and third drops from point.blank execute this concept pretty well, it's well produced and processed, making fortunately sound, well, not bad. it's not my favorite style of dubstep, i kind of dig it. then, we get codd dubz's second drop, which is just kind of bland and boring with their signature shitty processing, which heavily bumps this song down from what would have been a 6 or a 7. while it isn't really my cup of tea, i can sort of respect what it's going for. 1: gucci dub ~ 6/10 i know this is a take that will get me maimed on the spot, but honestly, i can't help but kind of enjoy this. the idea is kind of fun, and for the first time this entire ep, it succeeds at being kind of badass. the sort of y2k-ish vibe resonates with me a lot, and i like the sound effects that are used throughout the drops. while the production isn't the best, i feel like this is where codd dubz sort of hits. in my opinion, if they were to make more of this then i think i wouldn't hate them as much as i do right now. it's solid, and in my opinion it's a kind of nice track to just chill out to.
