I main YapYap so I think he should definitely be higher. He has some if my favorite leader powers in the game, such as the beam, gruntdome, and surprise party. Heavy grunts work wonders when countering air. His grunt mechs have the strongest heal in the game by far, and you get three of them. He has the strongest locust in the game when you used methane wagons and methane party. Cannon fodder can be used as the front lines of an early rush to cover your grunt riders and heavy grunts. He is by far my favorite leader in the game.

I was just thinking to that heavy grunts are better for capturing and what not over cannon fodder but you can stack multiple fodders on a single resource so its not an issue. I think where Yap shines the most is early game and late game because if he has all his upgrades and drops he's annoying and near unstoppable, early game he's got massive heals and ability to push armies back with ease with just a cannon fodder heavy grunt combo alone (I've done it many times) and the brute riders are just so nice for stunning and blowing up buildings, better than jump pack brutes at times. Methane buff is also insane too, so methane wagons are definitely not a waste if you're trading out your mine for it early game, just gotta micro them efficiently and not let them get targeted.

yeah yap yap is my main, an amazing character works so well with colony. I have my GF rush Goliaths while i rush cannon fodder and heavy grunts by 3-4 minutes into the game you have an 80 cap army with 6-7 Goliath at your base

Yap Yap is godly in 1s. You can't play with more than one yap yap in 2s or 3s because of his AVERAGE T1! He does not have a weak T1. You can have 5 cannon fodder at all your opponent's minis and main while working towards T2 and building choppers/heavy grunts to counter rushes. Yap Yap is S tier. Especially in 1s.

This is going to be a hot take, but i think yap yap is bottom of A, top of B. I think he is super overrated. I’m a jerome main so it sucks seeing him low, but I totally understand. Late game I do think he is a top 5 leader, but those are just my bias thoughts. Same with Serina. In a turtle her powers are numbers crushing. Those cryo/pulse strikes are deadly. The list feels very tech 1 orientated, but i get it. A lot of games are decided tech 1. Overall i’d say its accurate. Great video! Would love to see more like these. Discussion based.

What stops serina being higher is the powers cost two points, but I think when the game becomes a long one, being able to combine a freeze with your teammates nuke, then freeze again is really OP

The problem is that you haven't defined any objective measures for defining what constitutes a strong commander. You need to set criteria. There are 3 tiers of gameplay. There are heroes. There are special units. There are Hero Powers. No criteria means this is all subjective and you will spend too long (1hr 20 mins) arguing on who goes where. Do it again but set some criteria. For example. Tier 1. Tier 2. Tier 3. Hero Powers in each Tier of the game. Hero Power's as they evolve through the tiers. Etc.

Voridus is S tier Arbiter and Shippy are A tier Colony, Atriox, Decimus, Forge, Cutter, and Yap Yap are B tier in that order Johnson, Isabel, Anders, Serena, Pavium, and Jerome are C tier also in that order Kinsano sucks but she's cheddarful and also weirdly allright against Cutter and Yap Yap. In teams switch Johnson and Cutter. That's the tier list. Moving on.

Kinsano in F tier is crazy man. She’s easily one of the best UNSC leaders. Her unit drops, turret drop, hellcharge, and inferno are all insane. She’s basically cutter with more damage. Only thing that puts her slightly below Cutter is that Cutter’s passive infantry speed boost is just SO powerful. Inferno plus her hero flame wall stripping bases is one of the most annoying strats in the game to try to counter

She absolutely is not Cutter with more damage. She lacks raid, a spartan, mines, and hogs. Her infantry loses VS Cutter, therefore you have a weaker T1, you'll lose T2 cause of flame hogs, and you'd end up losing the vet 2 tank to Jerome, and Cutter has ODST and big drop.
