Ranking every I-LAND 2 performances (+opinions)

The show definitely didn't like Yuju, but it also HATED Sujung. They hated Sujung to the point that I'm pretty sure they just hated Yuju for being friends with Sujung. lol I agree that Um Jiwon was too young to debut, but I wish she could've stayed a little longer so we could have more good vocalists for more of the show lol I didn't like that the judges seemed to value improvement over just being better. The ability to improve is important and valuable, but like, how about we let them improve while they are trainees and debut the members who are ready to debut? 🙃 I just didn't like the judges' approach to pretty much anything lol Watching through your ranking of the performances, I was surprised how little I remembered about pretty much all of them lol I don't know if I could make a ranking just because I don't care about the performances enough to do that. Almost every performance felt like a 7/10 to me. There weren't many trainwrecks, but I also was pretty much never blown away by a performance. My favorite would probably be Eyes, Nose, Lips because it's the only one that made me really feel something lol I did also really like Rain On Me (Ground). It helps that it's a unit of pretty much all my faves lol switch Jeemin out for Um Jiwon and that's legit just my 5 favorite trainees lol I agree that the Lovesick Girls remix is trash! lol It's so bad!!

Ther judges sabotaged/hated yuju, sujung and juwon. Yui was literally tortured before they eliminated her. Jiyoonlike fuko never really showed improvement just on her ‘attitude’. People slept on contestants like gyuri, yeeun, minsol, soul, lingling and yui. The judges showed extreme favoritism towards certain contestants like Mai, Saebi, Sarang, Jungeun (part 1) and a bit Jeemin. I agree with most opinions

I love the appreciation of Minsol, she was my top 1 along with Jeemin, she’s honestly really talented but she was underrated so she couldn’t make it to part 2. Also is it just me who really liked the grounders ver. of rain on me? The ilanders version was really good too considering the story of it but I liked the creativity of the grounders with the mirror, bike, etc. Anyways great video!

I Miss Gyuri , Um Jiwon, Fuko and Yuju so much they all deserved to debut and they are literally such good vocalists idk how none of them debated and I also feel BAD for Son Juwon , Kim Sujung , Yuju , its like they wanted to eliminate them so badly like the favoritism was so obvious and I was convinced they also wanted Jungeun eliminated cause her scores was also so low even when she did good im glad we got her to debut though last thing like they didn’t eve try with Yuju at the finally like they put her in a concept she was already used to like if they really wanted to show everyone else in a new concept or part besides Yuju like wth Mnet

Okay this is gonna be a long rant but here it is. 1. It was stupid from the beginning, like you said, they are teenagers so teenagers behave like... Teenagers. When the drama finally ended with both of them making up, I was like FINALLY. 2. Definitely agree, tbh I don't see what the judges were so on into. She did great other than having an awkward expression. But they treated it like her vocals and dance didn't serve the plate when it was just the dressing. 3. Tbh yes, even though she wasn't the best, she did great than other contestants that haven't been eliminated before her. 4. She has unique vocals. I didn't really realize it in Unforgiven since I didn't really pay attention to her but just like Jiyoon, she has a unique tone, almost like a siren but at the same time a fairy(?) I don't know how to describe it but that's how she was able to harmonize with Jiyoon in the first place. 5. For the judges pick, yes. In their eyes, someone that can improve should debut. Mother Fuko was already perfect. But for the save votes, the fanbase plays a part too. So partly, it was because she didn't improve and her fanbase isn't as big as the others. 6. Yuju just happened to be my fav and top 1 contestant ever since the Ddu du Ddu du performance. From the early show until the final, I never changed my thought on how talented she is. I was kinda mad how Mnet kinda evil editing her in the beginning of the show when they would zoom in to her 'scoffing' and 'smirking' expression as if to show her downgrade another contestant. And was glad they stopped it after she become the leader in the signal song. But nuh-uh they have to sabotage her and intentionally give her less screentimes. Especially the mic part, like hello? I'm pretty sure that was the technical part fault, not Yuju rapping in a whistle tone. And sorry, this rant has to be a big long but OMG the Spicy performance was just an excuse to show more of Koko. It was a RAP unit not a dance unit. Atleast Mnet know Yunu will win bc her flow and pronounce is better. That's why they add the dance so that Koko can have a chance which is dirty of them to play that way. They didn't even give a clip of judges feedback on Yuju, only talking about how great Koko is (which she is). And in the final one performance too. They give the rap part to Sarang bc apparently they wanted the trainee to do something 'new' but please don't make it too obvious. They only did it for their own favourite trainee. Why don't they have Koko do something new too then? Maybe give her rap part to someone else? They didn't even gave Yuju something 'new'. Just being the backup dancer that stood out than the main dancer like always. They intentionally gave parts that their favourite contestant can handle. Like giving Fuko the rap part? Making Gyuri do anothee concept? Yuju having the same least part again? Fr? In the final performance? But hopefully Yuju debuts in a group of which she treats like the way she deserves it. 7. Agree, she has talents and I meant real talent. And she's just 14? Imagine if she is 18. Her improvements are gonna be big I'll tell ya. She is more talented than other older contestants and that's a fact. And I wouldn't feel bad if she didn't debut thinking that her talent is wasted bc she's still young and can take time to improve. 8. Honestly? Me neither. From the moment the 'you' Sarang thing is mentioned, I know from that moment that Sarang must be one of Mnet fav contestants that they wanted to debut and I wasn't wrong on that. She did debut, and she got more screen times and storylines than others. 9. Agree, tbh, they wanted to make Jiyoon shine here and whoever the other contestant is, can be her backup vocal which they did so DIRTY on Minsol. She would have shine too if only she was treated as a duo with Jiyoon instead of a backup vocalist. 10. My top 3 contestants ever since she has been the center in the signal song test. I don't get how the judges and the people watching the show say that she is consistent and didn't improve as much as Mai. Hello? Did u watch the show or not? Have u seen her expression? Not to mention, her dancing? She's a powerful center and nothing or no one can change my mind regarding how great she is. Not to mention, other than Jungeun, she's the only one that can keep the high note in the panorama performance. And we can see her rapping in I'm the best. What more can you ask for? Hopefully, like Yuju, she can find somewhere else to debut. 11. Yep, she already surprised me in getting to the final top 12 and she's improving A LOT. I don't get the hate she got over getting into the finalist instead of Yui even though I wanted her to be in since she's my Top 2 but it was unnecessary. She's still young and she already has a great potential. People said she didn't stand out in Drip and she's just a cute visual but did u see her effort in the performance? The way that she's trying to be swag to fit the concept and her facial expression? Even though she didn't stand out as the others, she is trying and she did improve in trying to fit in a concept that doesn't fit her. 12. Yes. I admit, I myself never put Mai in my top and never understand how she always gained attention online other than her kindhearted personality. But you can't deny her favoritism in the show. In my opinion, it's kinda ridiculous how the judges think instead of letting her improve before debuting and debut those who are ready, they wanted to debut her. But after observing the lineup, it was stable. They already have Jiyoon and Jungeun as vocalists. Koko as rapper. Probably include Sarang the all rounder too. Saebi and Jeemin as potential centers. Mai can stabilize the group by gaining fans with her visuals and personality. She has great determination too so I'm pretty sure she'll improve. 13. I thought I was the only one thinking of that. I already predict the final lineup would be Sarang, Mai, Jeemin, Saebi, Jiyoon and Koko which is really obvious with how many screentimes they were given and was surprised when Jungeun got the Top 1 in vote (which I'm happy for bc she deserves it) but it got me thinking what's gonna happen with Saebi bc I thought it was kinda a waste after the show her chemistry with Koko and Jeemin which of course, they added a surprise member which not really a surprise for me. Let's be real, if Jungeun didn't make it in the vote, instead being Mai or Saebi, they wouldn't even think of adding another member. 14. Again, I thought I was the only one thinking of that. Like seriously? Isn't it the girl's privacy? I get it if it was their training room or lobby but the bathroom? For real? This is a breach of privacy and it doesn't matter if the girls are minor or not, it still feels fishy and the judges don't seem like they think something is wrong with that. 15. Why does this have to happen to my FAV CONTESTANT. Yui stole my heart in Ddu du Ddu du when she was being a duo with Yuju and again in Whistle and the dance unit performance. She's one of the most talented contestants there and I would kick those who disagree (jk) but fr, they did her dirty with how they show her crying over and over and she didn't even make it in the save vote. Imo, she should have won instead of Fuko (no offense). I'm not saying Fuko didn't do great but it's because Saebi felt like the center instead of her and Yui felt like the real center in her performance. Fuko would have made it with the save vote anyway but I hope she can debut with Yuju one day. They would make a great rapper duo My other opinion: -Grounder version of Rain on me is better than Iland I don't understand how they said Sujung choreography is something like 'its nothing special, it was as if 'oh, we have seen this somewhere''. Okay but a young trainee like her can already make a choreography this creative? Everyone keep saying its creative test not choreographing so ur saying choreography is not creative? For real? At least be logical. Not to mention, the grounder complete each other and stand out equally thanks to the choreography. Even Chaeeun stand out. But Iland version is literally just Mai and Saebi with backup dancer. (+Lingling) - They show how much they wanted to eliminate the trainee Lets just admit, I know Sujung, Juwon or Yuju wont make it in the finalist and yes, Sujung and Juwon got eliminated. If it weren't for the global fans did justice to Jungeun and vote for her, she could be eliminated too. They HATE Sujung and Jungeun too much that the favouritism is too obvious. - Lingling isn't as bad as people make her out to be Yes, she did got so many attention bc of Malaysians but people hating on her bc of that. Saying that she's not even talented. Im sorry but u guys are being ridiculous. Her vocal is stable enough and her facial expressions is killin it. She had that type of visual that can attract korean fans. I don't see how she is 'untalented'. She's great, just needs improvements. - The Unit battle is ridiculous They should have make all unit have the same number of people. And moreover having Mai, Jeemin and Saebi in dance unit when they aren't even a main dancer material. And the all rounder unit is so stupid. Its all rounder and the performance didn't even have a rap part in it. They should have just done a Vocal (Jiyoon, Fuko, Jungeun) Rap (Koko, Mai(?), Yuju) Dance (Sarang, Sujung Juwon) Center (Gyuri, Jeemin, Saebi). Isn't that more stable. Its just ridiculous. I still have a lot of opinion but that's all for now. Thank you for reading it this far. Just wanted to rant tbh.
