solgaleo is based on the alchemy symbol called "the lion that devours the sun" or "the green lion that devours the sun" The Green Lion Devouring The Sun' is a popular alchemical symbol. On a chemical level this is a metaphor for when a green, liquid sulfate called “vitriol” purifies matter, leaving behind the gold within the matter. Very pure vitriol is an acid that eats through practically anything, except gold. My favorites are Ho-oh and Cobalion Ho-oh is so majestic and gorgeous. There’s something about the fact that it grants eternal happiness and restores life that makes it such a mystical and appealing Pokémon to me. It also holds the record for having my all time favorite shiny form out of any Pokémon. Cobalion is a really noble Pokémon that strives to protect Pokémon from humans. There’s something so badass and simultaneously majestic about this beautiful thing. It’s justice incarnate and I love it so much. It’s also the first shiny Pokémon that I got via the SR method.

Genesect so low? No way! Giratina is my number 1, no competition. The only one coming close is Darkrai, and Marshadow, Hoopa, Lunala and Necrozma are also really great. Least favorite ones: Regirock, Regice, Regigigas and Registeel (i actually kinda like his design).

Entei got a movie, Suicune got a movie and a version, and Raikou........... also got a movie, that was the original plan, having a movie for each one, but since they fit Suicune's movie with celebi they made Raikou's movie: The Legend Of Thunder, a TV only movie and gave Suicune a game version while making its movie more about celebi than about Suicune itself.

I pretty much completely agree with this list. The Weather Trio is the absolute worst (even if they're decent in battle). Their Therian Formes made them only slightly less awful, but they still don't look like Pokémon. I would only swap Marshadow and Mew. I like Marshadow but sadly I do not have one, and Mew is my favorite Mythical Pokémon.

Top 5 favorite Legendaries: 5-Mewtwo- Cause, y'know, it's Mewtwo. 4-Darkrai- Awesomeness. Also carried me through a battle where I won a Game Boy Color and a copy of Pokemon Red in a bet. 3-Kyurem- Was my first major shiny hunt, and now I use it non-stop. White Kyurem> Black Kyurem, though they're both awesome. 2-Rayquaza- Or as I call it, Shiny Mega Rayquayquay. Seriously, that event all those years ago was awesome. Even if I just downloaded it off the internet and didn't go and catch it. 1-Lugia- My first Legendary. Absolutely CARRIED me through Kanto in Soul Silver, and against Red. Also my first level 100. I'm too lazy to rank all of them, and I really don't hate any legendary, though Phione seems just pointless to me. Either way, nice list!

Deku Werbenjagermanjensen contests aren't for everyone perhaps they're simply a bad features thus why it's not popular at all. Yeah rayquaza is an excellent sweeper and even facing ice rayquaza can firethrow the opponent with one move. In emerald especially it was one of the most challenging legendary battle!

I feel like way too many people rag on Regigigas. I think it has a great and powerful-looking design, and while it might not be that good in competitive play, when you're using it in single player, it's an absolute beast, and Crush Grip is such a powerful move. So I say screw the haters, Regigigas is awesome

I think Uxie was designed after Brock, considering in the Diamond and Pearl series Uxie was the one in-bond with Brock. If you don't know, in Diamond and Pearl, during the Team Galactic arc, when Cyrus was trying to summon Palkia and Dialga, Uxie Azelf and Mesprit were connected to Brock, Ash and Dawn in order.

Hell yeah man, Tapu Bulu is the best Tapu! I could care less about Lele and Fini, but Tapu Bulu is my man! Articuno is also the best legendary bird, and Marshadow is the best legendary/mythical!

the one thing I truly hate about Lunala is that it gets a hard counter from the single most common pokemon in its version: Alolan Raticate. As a Normal/Dark Type, Alolan Raticate is entirely immune to all of Lunala's STAB moves and over 70% percent of the moves it can learn. And if that weren't bad enough, Alolan Raticates are EVERYWHERE!

articuno is my favorite legendary/mythical of all time. It is also the only legendary/mythical i have ever used during a playthrough. normally using legendaries feel like a cheat for me so i stay away from them in most playthoughs of my games.
