There's a Flying Dutchman from Mould King. They also have two Black Pearl sets. All three of those are much better than the official lego set

i had a few sets of lego as a kid, but none of them were really big because we couldn't buy anything more than 20 dollars whenever i did get one. they were still the most magical thing ever, i remember having my little X wing with luke and pretending he was stuck in the roof and defending himself from the wampa bigfig I didn't have

The throne and cage from Cannibal escape are my favorite side builds from the theme. Truly amazing theme all around though. Are you going to rank the sonic sets? There aren’t many so it would probably be a nice and easy video!

Hmmm, potentially in the future. Maybe I’ll let a few more release waves come out first. Sometimes it’s just easier to do the older themes, because it’s not likely more will come to that said theme. Whereas doing a current theme is tough because in any given year it can become outdated, which sucks

I recently found a black pearl set I got as a child collecting dust under my bed. It is still factory sealed in the box with a Lego store sticker that reads $99.99. Only after some research did I discover what a grail this was.

What with Lord of the Rings making an impromptu return to LEGO, it would be awesome to see PotC get a similar treatment. Because while this theme WAS awesome at the time, looking back, those ship builds left a LOT to be desired.

@@John-vv8bi True enough, but like I mentioned with how poor the LEGO PotC ships were in retrospect, I wierdly kinda prefer that they didn't make it back then. I've built a LEGO Flying Dutchman MOC and can safely say from experience that LEGO definitively would NOT have been able to make a decent looking Dutchman with 2011 parts budget.

Shipwreck cove (potc 3), The Flying Dutchman (potc 2, 3 and 5) and maybe the horses towing the vault (potc 5) would’ve made AMAZING sets.

Yep! I think its made by Mould King. I am not a major supporter of counterfeit Lego but I have seen it from time to time and it has definitely challenged my integrity, especially for the price!

Black pearl is a great set but I really wish it was larger. The ship is too small compared to queen anne's revenge. And this may be nitpicking but from what I saw the lego cannibal designs are not based on any designs within the actual movie. They seem to be totally original designs which is annoying. Joshamee Gibbs was also the wrong colors but all the other figures were pretty much perfect. I just wish there were less stranger tides sets and more from the original three movies. There are a fair amount of important missing scenes and characters.
