Twilight princess Zelda isn't a plot hole. She gives up the triforce if wisdom to Midna and then becomes a twilight spirit. But when the twilight is broken, her body comes back like everyone else, but she's taken over by Ganondorf. At least that's been my read.

in tp im pretty sure she comes back because you break zants curse (the one she sacrificed herself to protect midna from) when he dies, which raises a lot of questions about how twili magic works, but seems legit to me because "life force" has always been a nebulous concept in the lore

Z1 : E useless Z2 : E even more useless ALttP-LsA: D A bit less useless OoT-MsM : B way less useless OoS-OoA : D a bit useless TMC: C only useful at the very end TWW-PH: B (S in windwaker but E in Phantom Hourglass) ST : S probably one of the best TP : A Pretty cool but lacks emotion SS : D overrated as fuck, I hate her design, she looks weak, she has no credibility as reborn Hylia ALbw : B, Useful at some points but we have seen better HW : S by far the most badass BotW : S+, Most human, most realistic, and one of the most useful incarnations CDI : A, yes I know but I will at least give them that Excuse me princess cartoon : A, easily the only character they did right

Hey remember when it took a whole game for Zelda to gain spiritual power through the help of link and her own efforts working along side him? And she had to EARN her power to reclaim her body? Turns out you can just get the sacred power when the fuck ever if the plot needs you to save your boy toy even if you’ve literally had no powers your whole life. I don’t like quoting cinema sims tbh but “deus ex machina” has never been more fitting
