This is an opinion on my ranking of the worst to best professions in Anarchy Online.

I first started playing AO pretty much upon release. Notum wars, I think it was at the time. I went back to it countless times over the years. Shadowlands and Alien invasion were good. Just listening to that music again brought so many happy memories. The cultist robe and what looked carbonum armour. I used to have an engineer who made low level carb armour as a nice source of income. Sitting in Old Athens near the tree and somebody turns all the afk people into reets or those pit dragon things. God, I'd love to see this game get either a total graphics overhaul or just bring us AO 2. This is mostly me just reminiscing over a game that I remember so fondly. I'm sure I'm not the only one who got so excited when they got their first Stygian Desolator or Guardian Tank Armour from the Temple of Three Winds. Raging because someone trained the cultists to you at low level. If you're one of those people who spent many happy nights playing this game, like my comment and show your appreciation for one of the longest running and best MMORPGs ever! 🫡

Secret World on release was it. It was fantastic. Also Eve on release was amazing.

I was really bummed when they took away OMHH from soldiers with the rebalance. I had a 60 froob soldier before the balance using a "Deluxe Airframed Blaster Betatype" combined with twinked evades and MA so I could style on fools in PvP looking like an ICC guard. I had a 10-15k burst at 60 as a froob, which was nutty. With OMHH I could solo ToTw Azzy trio, but following the rebalance it became impossible. RIP niche builds.

The removal of OMHH broke my heart. It ruined my own toons, but there was this one dude named Midriff who was one of my all-time favorite twinks(JAME and OMHH, friggen unkillable, so dang good) and the rebalance destroyed his toon. I used to loveee watching that dude duel, was super sad.

Incorrect I actually never responded cause I had so many milfs dying to be with me once they found out I played anarchy online. In all seriousness I completely forgot to respond to the original message lol but the game is great, definitely not the easiest to get into with all the things the game has going on but I don't really mind that stuff and have been enjoying playing bits of it over the past couple of months.

Starting playing in 04… there is literally no game that has come even remotely close to AO. Both the old community, and the actual gameplay is completely unmatched… when i watch AO videos, i get a literal knot in my stomach because of all the memories i have 😔

I remember when Keepers came, I grinded my self to push nr 1 to lv 200 and left AO at 194 🤣just got burned out from all that grinding. But, I still miss the game, I have played a few times these last years but man, after a break for that many years its a lot to catch up to!

For a game you never played, you end up wanting to grind to 200 for the achievement. The issue is then, once you have a max level character (220) you no longer want to do it again. Even with twinking, its like "who cares" but that comes down to A. its an old game and B. modern games have more to do in them. I would LOVE an AO2.0 that is updated and modernized without ruining that oldschool tab target AO feel....

@@goblinphreak2132 AO today is aged but nostalgic for some of us. The early grind was brutal back in 2001/2002 (1-200). I never took the time to do 200-220 back when I still played. The game has a lot great elements of complexity that I would like to see in more games today.

Hey man. I didn't do any endgame PvM stuff, but there are raidbots constantly organizing and running stuff. In terms of PvP, that's still dead as a doornail. There were a few honest PvPers that I dueled while I was active, but that's it unfortunately.

I only have one 220 and it's a fixer :( it's such a fun/cool class but god was I disappointed when I got to end game Edit: Also the Shadowlands classes are beyond cool to me. I'll never forget when I was younger and I finally went Sloob for the first time and stayed off school to play it - the absolute wonder and excitement playing though the Jobe starting area and discovering the beauty or nascence. Forever since been my favourite gaming memories

Man I hate finding all this AO content being recommended to be randomly now cause I can't afford to play while being swamped in classwork and other projects... And giving other games a chance. Good stuff I must say. My second main is a Keeper currently at 211 with my main being a 215 Enforcer, haven't reached 220 yet. I have to mostly agree with your opinions with the Keeper to be honest despite not being among my favorite professions "Froob Agent, Trader and Adventurer". With that said, its a tragedy that Keepers are the paid class cause they are the definitive newbie class to play and recommend for being the most solo friendly. The heal aura is unfathomably powerful for what its worth. OP on Rubi-Ki and still great in SL through Adonis and Penumbra. I would just heal through the environmental damage and only put the stupid penumbra glasses on for tough mobs. On Rubi-Ki they share access to the Pained Panther and Aztur's Sword with the Enforcer making damage dealing a non issue on top of a damage proc aura as you level on Rubi-Ki. You stack auras and auto attack while clicking your perk skills occasionally. I love soldiers too, well want too. The issue I have with them is exactly with what you brought-up. Very limited weapon arsenal to level with. At least paid soldiers get access to perks and a full-auto pistol for variety, but froob is horrendous all the way till you can equip a Skawt's Plasma Emitter.

@@SharpTony i reached him by discord when He was doing a sci fi mmo called Otherland which is now unfortunately shutdown. He was in Otherland discord Server, other than that He very rarely comments under His Videos. I dont know If there is another mean of communication. AO deserves more people to know about it. I think right now one of the very few stat focused mmo with Lots If races and classes. I used to play also Rohan, Project gorgon and Last Chaos that are stats focused. I think Most of them are Armor based which reduces the Challenge imho. Btw i am trying few melee classes with nano tech Race, i watched your stamina Video i Agree but still nano formulas are important in any Class and they are int Psy based :/

Yes and no haha. They're reallllly boring in PvM(aside from being able to FP MP and press q), but there is also no nuance to playing an agent after tl2.

Engineer forever! Haha, in all fairness I don't think there is a profession I actually dislike. I could never get stuck into trader to lvl up to endgame but I absolutely love my lvl 1 froob pump trader, my old silkens 24 2he trader lol. Every profession has a niche that can be pretty fun.
