Yeah, in Superstars the skins DLCs were good, and I’d like to see them return here, but I think levels would be better for this game honestly.

1. Chaos Island (best level design) 2. Sunset Heights (best remix in the game) 3. Kingdom Valley (mid/buggy stage that got redeemed) 4. Space Colony Ark (better opening stage than green hill again) 5. Radical Highway (very big and open ended but not my cup of tea) 6. Rail canyon (random bs death ptsd from heroes put me off this stage)

Rail Canyon would have been better if it had made rails into shortcuts instead of the main routes.

@@WarningStrangerDanger there are rail shortcuts surprisingly. Like chaos control allows you to stop one such shortcut from being destroyed, boosting off a rail later along allows you to take a higher route, and the (switches?) can be avoided or hit strategically to get to the end faster. But yeah I do kinda hate the rails

With Chaos Island, I was just surprised that it ended the way it did, with no cool closing segment that left you satisfied like with SCA, Kingdom Valley, Sunset Hieghts, or the soon to happen Radical Highway. I was left feeling, as I said at the time: "that's it?", I was expecting something good to end off the level since I thought it was going to be the final zone at the time, I wasn't expecting another zone to pop up so I was just expecting more from it because of that fact, especially since Sonic Gens ended with Planet Wisp & no extra zone.

They are definitely a big highlight of the game! No Sonic has really done anything like that before. It was so hype in ark. The only compliant I had is when you get back to the sunset heights part it just ends 😭 it reminded me of og forces where the level would just end. But the actual level itself is fire. The games “worst” levels are good at worst, what a timeline

@ it’s the repetitive loop of getting a thing to go a place to get another thing to Finaly get a key to get a emerald to beat a boss also we both know when we look at levels like chemical plant or the death egg we want to explore all of it find nooks and crannies Get up to high places run around and fight bosses in these places like imagine a race against metal sonic but open world Racing around this giant world and just imagine the view and scope of these places it’s possible to do this but they didn’t that’s why I hate it They risked nothing and played as safe as possible with such a concept

Sunset height an a tier no one can convince me otherwise, has some of the best spectacle, best uses of doom blast and the 2D stage is the best 2D by far imo

I don’t like ranking both acts as a whole cause if there is one amazing stage and one boring one then it kinda dies out Personally I found chaos island act 1 extremely well done my favourite stage by far but act 2 is kinda boring with the morph being mostly automated

6 radical highway | haven’t played it enough to put it any higher maybe ill enjoy it more after learning the speedrun idk still an 10/10 zone 5 space colony ark | incredible start the skips you can do are insane just a little too linear to be any higher 4 rail canyon | easily the best looking stage love the first half of act one but it does kinda get basic at the end of it act 2 rocks though 3 sunset heights | 10/10 atmosphere 10/10 song 10/10 cinematics all around an incredible stage but i do think the radical highway part goes on for a but too long 2 kingdom valley | easily the most open of all the levels great on replays and has the best act 2 of em all 1 chaos island | the way they perfectly translated a open zone into a 5 minute boost stage is incredible definitely my favourite stage to speedrun it has some really cool skips and once you adapt to the doom morph its a blast beginning to end also the act 2 music rocks
