The ZH-29 was OP at day one and it still is, so OP that no patch could touch it. It just shits on all bolt actions and allows you to be a PTFO Recon. The fact that often you die in one frame means that most of the time people cannot even duck into cover after the first shot. I love it.

The ZH is a good gun, but it feels cheap. A semi-automatic sniper with almost no bullet drops and is a two-shot kill no matter what. It's practically a noob gun for those who suck at sniping.

The M28 trombucino is a highly underrated gun. Its definitely the best close range/aggressive sniper rifle and you can launch grenades with it

I prefer the Jungle Carbine but it’s tough. The anti vehicle capability of throwing mines on a tank and then detonating it with the grenade launcher is pretty nice. Plus it feel better to use than the Jungle

The krag is one of the older snipers. Created a bit after cartridges became a thing like the trap door springfield.

You should consider iron sights, which allows all snipers to fire back to back without lowering your sights. The kar98 is inferior to the krag at 6x, but its iron sights are far clearer and easier to align, meaning a skilled counter-sniper will appreciate picking off enemies without giving himself away with scope glint. Also the bipod being available to it (and its "accuracy" being slightly higher, I seem to land shots slightly more than the krag, making up for that one less in the mag) The Enfield is an absolute machine with iron sights and a 10 round clip, and while it CAN do cross-map shots, you'll typically limit yourself to under 200 yards when running iron sights, which is ideal as it has low bullet velocity. There's absolutely no better sniper for close quarters on the recon class. Similar goes for the commando carbine, which can have an extremely nasty hip fire accuracy; once you use them in their best case you will see they are very different guns than when using them all as long range snipers. The rate of fire on the K31 should be much much higher and it should allow you to cycle the action while scoped. That's the whole point of that rifle. It has a straight pull bolt, just back and forward and you're loaded, meaning its faster and can be done while aiming.

Actually, straight pull alone doesn't automatically mean better RoF. If the cycling is slow and not smooth, that slows it down. Also, most straight pulls have straight bolt handles, which is slower than a turn down bolt handle.

I my top 5 would be like this: 1.1 Kar98, better damage than the Krag jørgensen, highest bullet speed. 1.2 m30 drilling, i know shotguns are kind of op but this gun is just insane, great bullet speed and great damage, also it makes it usable in close quarters situations, when people with CQC guns apear they expect you to not be able to kill them, then boom you blast them with the shotgun rounds, reload and change the fire mode to snipe some more, i only dont consider it to be better than Kar98 because it lacks a scope, but the 2x iron sights are pretty decent. Also it has low magazine capacity since its basicly a martini-henry+double-barrel but if you know how to use it then nothing is going to stop you, and of course metro with this is just good, my favourite gun in the game. 2 Arisaka and Gewer m95, they are almost the same gun with diferent croshairs and damage is great. 3 K31, great bullet speed and i think the specializations are good since depending on the map size you can use either the left side, or the right side, good for being such a versitale sniper being great for distances from extreme long range to close-medium range. 4 Tronboncino and jungle carbine are very good at agressive sniping, also as T-bag said, u can revive others and cure yourself. 5 AT boys rifle, not only a great defensive gun, good in modes like breakthrout the first video I saw from bfv was someone using it, i remember i never played any BF and then searched more and decided to install the game. Yes i played bf1 but only after bfv, both good games are good, waiting for bf6!

In my opinion,because I play ONLY the recon class, the Kar98k is on nr.1, then comes the Krag because at long range(+200m) I'm way more accurate with the Kar98k , it's just feels more stable at those ranges.

I wreck with the Panzer. I have wiped so many squads with it. Heck, the hipshot potential with it is monstrous. I pretty much consistently get at least a 2 kdr with it. I would rank my top 3 as the KAR 98, Arasaka, and Panzerbusche. Also, you don't need a faster gun if you actually land your headshots 😂. My farthest shot landed with the KAR so far (I didn't get the follow-up shot, though) is 703 meters.

Quick tip: if you use the PB or Boys, shoot the tank’s rear it will max damage. Another quick tip: shoot the con tromboncino’s grenade in the same place, if the tank is pouring black smoke it will ruin it
