My fav thing in Call of prypiat is how you just get dropped in. Not even to a safe space. There's immediately travellers you can rob. And you are set free with vague directions to look for choppers.

In my opinion there is no bad Stalker games. They are all good for their own time because they were a games of it's time that found a tons of fans, including me. Well, maybe if you consider also a old mobile java games, they could be worst but even then, what did you expect from a 2.5D game for old mobile phones? As for been "janky", name a game that is not janky. Like, none of the games on release has a perfect state, especially these days. Take a look at Cyberpunk 2077, No Man's Sky or GTA 4. Those games on release were a mess. 1:14 I get the joke but just wanted to say that, in Stalker - Shadow of Chernobyl, you play as Strelok that is also nicknamed in the game as Marked because of his Stalker mark and because he lost his memory, but that's a spoiler. In it's prequel Clear Sky you play as Scar and in Shadow of Chernobyl's sequel, which is Call of Pripyat, you play as Alexander Degtyarev. And as all of you already know, in new game, which is Stalker 2, you play as Skif. BUT, there was a pre-release beta version of very first game, which is Shadow of Chernobyl, that was called Oblivion Lost. And in that game you supposed to play as, if I remember correctly, a stalker called Ghost. You can later find his body in final version of the game aka Shadow of Chernobyl, on one of the locations and by the plot of final game, he was a ally of Strelok and his group of Stalkers.

Zaton and jupiter is better than all the maps from soc combined, plus the quests from cop is a lot more diverse, and I love the militaristic setting the most

The world dies when you finish the story. No repeatable quests, not even respawning human enemies. A better world doesn't mean much if it doesn't last.

Shadow of chernobyl had the most firefights as that game is full of armed human enemies. In call of pripyat your real threats are mostly mutants and very few occasional zombies. Even the bandits dont attack you.

Couple of small things I noticed. SOC doesn't have a water system. COP has a quick item system on F keys. I actually find HOC more annoying on the hot keys.

I dunno why people hate on Clear Sky. All your concerns are more, like, skill issue, rather then game being bad. Personally I'd rank them in their release order. SoC is my least favorite one. About artifacts - still a skill issue. Found an artifact in Garbage that has maxxed out resistance and couple more in other areas - for physical protection and weight.

Stalker 2: Dlss is what caused the memory leak for my pc in my testing so I switched over to TSR and when using frame generation you need to enable nvida reflex under the display tab to mitigate the sluggish controls while using it.

13:24 honestly, the mutant combat is the main thing hindering my experience with the game thus far. They already don't feel very refined, but then they throw like 4 or 5 at you at a time and it just becomes frustrating. That money you've been saving up? Time to use it all on expensive repairs. Those 30 medkits you got? Time to use them all in 2 minutes. The invisible fuckers are the worst.

I think it's made on purpose - fighting mutants isn't rewarding in any form. Best tactic is either avoid them or run away. You're Stalker, not Geralt from Rivia, you're not getting anything from fighting these creatures (aside of couple of quests, and in few of them it's better to run or not get involved if you're not ready)

They are much better after the first few patches. Much less health. Also repair costs have been dialed down while quest rewards were upped. The economy is quite good right now actually. I never had enough creds to gun however I liked but also never felt punished for exploring and was never forced to use worse equipment just for the repair costs.

Lmao we are playing a totally different game then. Xbox runs it terrible, I’m glitched in the middle of the game can’t make it past cuz the game crashes everytime. My experience has been identical to cyberpunk which I did the whole preorder thing same as everyone. I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s unplayable, after these crashes happening my desire to play is zero even when they do fix it. Like brother if I could refund my whole console I would because of the new stalker game.

SOC and CS are the worst in the series. COP is awesome but HOC really outshines the rest of the series. HOC just improves on everything.

I don't really get why he rags on CS so much like yeah it's the weakest of the original trilogy but it's really just SOC with a few small changes, and it doesn't totally fall apart gameplay-wise at the end (even if the ending of SOC is somehow still special to me with it's crazy enemy spam hallway ending.) Like he legit criticizes CS of things he *goes on to praise* SOC for like what's his vendetta lol? Great video in general though.

Clear sky is my most beloved game. Game is graphically better than SoC and there's so much interesting thing like factions(i had a mod that made it worked ideally), weapon upgrades and of course funny bandits. That "bandit song" came from clear sky. And their quests we're interesting too. And there was a lot of memes because Clear sky. Just remember that moment where enemies throw a lot of grenades at you. I got like 7 greaned at one time. And interesting characters like Lebedev, Ashot, Pahan(bandit leader) The problem with this game was performance problems. It had more problems than other Stalker games. The best game in my opinion is Call of Pripyat. SoC is the most atmospheric Stalker game. But i didn't replay it much like other games.

Actually about difficulty in older S.T.A.L.K.E.R games it works like this: the higher difficulty the more damage you give to your enemy the more damage they give to you if you play on lets say STALKER difficulty you are actually not missing them when you aim at them with a good weapon you both are actually just bullet sponges.

If you forget about the bugs stalker 2 is the best stalker game because it’s modern and feels way better to play than any of the other ones they were good for the time but don’t play so great now plus the map is massive the world is way more reactive monsters are scary and tough and in general stalker 2 just beats all 3 of the originals in every way there all good in there own right but this is my personal favorite

Disagree, the world feels dead. Locations have life but literally nobody roams the zone, npcs spawn in a 100 foot bubble around you in the wild as opposed to naturally stumbling into them. I'm 20 hours in and I've yet to see factions fighting one another, stalker fighting mutants, stalkers hunting artifacts, etc. Traveling between locations (which is 80% of the game) is very boring as a result of this. The A life system is not a lifing

For me the original is best, the thing they released a few days ago is just a terrible u finished jank, i would say the worst of all the stalker games, most definiteky, so many things a nd features missing, and also the graphics are terrible ,especially if you ccant play the game on stable framerate with the best gpu on the market. Where are the dynamic shadows casting from flashoight or the environment objects like the moon , lamps and so on...just oof, major oof, the game shoudlve been in developement for longer, its clear as day they pushed for release before it was ready, dont even get me started on the dumb ai, non existing stealth, spongy and tanky mutants , so much broken stuff.

Sick to death of buying games that are unfinished and broken and then having all these privileged PC players tell me I’m a hater or I’m toxic or go play COD because I’m criticising the state of this game. See it’s okay for people on PC because they get hundreds of settings they get mods and other things so every game they buy they can instantly make it better make it play better make it look better meanwhile all of us on console have to put up with this bullshit for the next two years until they decide to fix the whole thing and in the meantime they will pander to the PC players by adjusting the sensitivity on thier mouse 🤡🌏 my game on Xbox has been broken since the very first day I bought it nothing has changed except they patched all the exploits and there are random groups of NPCs walking around shooting each other. It’s in a worse state now than it ever was. What pisses me off is the games got so much potential but as usual we’ve got to wait a couple of years pathetic

No your completely right. What’s the point of buying these games at launch, basically beta testing. Why does every game need 50 updates post launch just for it to be complete. I miss the days where developers could release a game, and move on to the next game. They spend 5+ years on the game, then they launch it and get a influx of cash from dummies like us who are supporting them then they spend another 2 years completing the product they have already sold. These games are way too expensive. Oh and I have a PC, mods are a pain. If I have a gripe with a game, I wait till it’s fixed, I don’t spend time finding mods for it. That’s the developers job. That’s the Bethesda mindset.
