We're gonna see the competition to stay in the league become harder and harder as all these talented players start going in the NBA we can already see signs of it solid players like Reggie Bullock going for scraps when a decade ago a guy like him would have a long JR-esque career.

@@otisinvazion a few reasons: firstly I frankly just don't think Chet is gonna make as big of a difference as everyone else thinks, and they didn't make any notable moves in the off-season they're pretty much relying entirely on Chet coming back and their young players developing for improvement, which to me just isn't enough in a league this strong. 2ndly, it's not really a fault of the Thunder but more so a demonstration of how good the rest of the league has gotten. This off-season a lot of good teams made good moves to improve their roster and I'm expecting the standings to be kind of top heavy as a result. It's not that I think the Thunder won't have gotten any better, I just think a lot of the teams that were already good last season have gotten significantly better. So excited for NBA, it’s only a few days away! My fantasy teams are stacked, so very happy about that. The teams who I think are underrated could be Rockets Thunder Jazz Pacers Hornets (sounds weird, but have a feeling) Magic (young team)
I think you're low on the Pacers and Thunder, both of those teams seem clearly better than the Bulls. Bulls were mostly healthy last year outside of Lonzo who they'll be missing again, and they were no good. Pacers were on track for playoffs until Tyrese got injured. OKC could easily have a worse record than the Bulls because they play in the west, but I think they'll be the better team and would expect them to win when the two teams play each other. Also think you're a bit high on Philly. I also think you're a bit low on the T-Wolves, they sneakily gave Denver one of the hardest battles last season, Ant looked amazing with team USA and is going to be a superstar, Conley is a better fit for them at PG, and they played really well when KAT was out. Honestly I think their ceiling probably raises if they flip KAT for a two-way player, but even as they currently are constructed I see them as the biggest threat to upset a team like the Suns or Warriors come playoff time.

We really don’t want that role to fall on porzingis… and Al in the past has been pretty good in those spots, but again we can’t count on him being that guy night after night. Someone like bam adebayo or nic claxton would be amazing-well someone similar but on an 11 mil budget so they’d obviously be worse but you get what I’m saying. The amount of disrespect for the Thunder is insane to me. Calling Shai a borderline top ten player when he was first team all-NBA is crazy and then to double down and say they lack the top end talent to really compete is even crazier. As the second youngest team in the league at the end of the season, they ended one game short of the playoffs, 13th in offensive ratting, and 14th in defensive ratting without a real rim protector. J-Dub will get better as he's no longer a rookie, Shai will still be dominant as opposing teams had nothing else to gameplan for but him last year which might not be the case this year, and their already slightly above average defense will be bolstered by a real center in Chet Holmgren. While they don't have all the pieces or experience needed to make a legit run at a title, they, more likely than not, will be firmly in the playoffs, rather than in the play-in tournament.

Wolves ranked way too low. I get the skepticism but no one seems to respect their defensive ability, bench depth, roster consistency, and the fact that the stars are all in shape coming into the season. It’s honestly hilarious you ranked the Mavs 3 spots higher than then lmao

I would say that the kings were not lucky, sabonis played through a broken thumb and de'aaron fox a fractured ring finger. also that just shows their medical staff are good

What is this list. You disrespected the warriors and the clippers

Sixers at 6 seems wild to me. Personally I think you could swap Kings and Sixers so kings are 6th and Sixers are 14th and it would seem more reasonable

I think the Wizards and Trail Blazers finish last in their conferences. Spurs finish just short of the play-in tournament. Definitely not the worst team in the league though.

Having the Knicks over the Kings, Clippers, and Mavericks is heresy. You really gotta take a step back on your Knicks takes. I love what you do but sometimes that fan bias is a bit much. I’m also not sure about them over the Cavs even after the playoffs last year because of their player growth compared to the Cavs.

low-key the only crazy thing here would be Knicks over the Clippers and Cavs. I really don't rate the kings tbh though they were great last season and fox was kinda him I don't think they are gonna do better in the regular season especially considering the tougher competion they are gonna have to face in the west standings. And for mavs I still think their defense is garbage and Kyrie as he does a lot could suddenly make some random ahh trade request or something

Minnesota, Golden State, Phoenix, Sacramento, OKC, LA, Miami, Orlando, and Memphis all far off 2 months later… missed on half the league

I really think the Wolves will be a top 10 team man. Top 10 offense and defense+ bench in hoops.

Pelicans were the 1 seed before Zion injury last year. That was without BI too. 25 game sample size. If Zion and BI are healthy, the Pelicans are a top 3 seed in the West.

Zion has missed more than half the games he’s had in his career. He’s not staying healthy

Embiids MVP is so stupid. The argument was that Jokic didnt win a title. Now that hes done it the MVP is moot.
