I loved divers! It’s more about exploration than the grinding and I found myself leveling up naturally as I kept getting lost and losing all my health and having to go back up. Plus it’s surprisingly complex and explained nothing, trial and error on the weapon types and different currencies and potions also helped alleviate the grind. Since there is only one place to heal the map kinda ended up like dark souls; with it being looping areas that unlock shortcuts to descend deeper with area containing themed enemies and hidden chests containing weapons and items. It is also possible to find an area early on where enemies are way too strong for you.

I know I'd rank Devilition, Divers, Waldorf's Journey and Mortol way higher, those are all bangers! 11:43 I believe they "get angry" when they are in a row of 3, which doesn't make them parry but actually makes them invulnerable while they are "angry". Also very good video, great editing and you didn't repeat yourself too much. The only weird thing is you sounded too harsh when talking about some games, and then it turned out you quite like them, that was confusing, but despite that I enjoyed this. Goes near top of the list, right below Vainger.

In Porgy, defeating bosses increases your available slots to equip the item. But in my opinion, not enough. Limited equippable inventory, coupled with items that you are pretty much forced to equip in some sections, already exacerbate the backtracking problem of this game.

Yeah, the backtracking in particular is brutal. But I really liked this game, one of my favorites. I think a lot of the issue with UFO 50 games is just not knowing key gameplay details that make the game more managable.

21:49 I feel like Campanella 2 gives you more freedom to fail at controlling the UFO without getting frustrated. I played 2 for a while before truly getting into trying to beat 1, and then 1 felt soooo fun. And kinda easy.

Finally, someone else who hates Golfaria. Everyone else seems to love this game, and I just don't get it. You have no idea where to go, and you have limited moves to get there. And even when you do know where to go, it's still a huge pain in the ass. Do those slopes go up or down? Who knows. Waste strokes to find out. Nope you misjudged that angle, and now you're down another stroke and probably in a worse position.
