Spruce is easily an S-tier type of wood for me, simply because of how easy it is to get _tons_ of it Mega Spruce Trees are easy to grow, simply needing a 2x2 configuration of Spruce Saplings [and, of course, the necessary space for growth], those are usually tall enough to give you around a whole stack of logs in one chopping, and Spruce Trees generally have enough leaves that you're pretty likely to make back the saplings you spent planting it, and then some And to add onto that, the typically high amounts of leaves makes 'em great for hedge-maze purposes because it's easy to get leaves galore

Spruce is easily my favorite, but I built a smaller house in survival recently and used a mix of Birch for floors, spruce for walls, and jungle for the roof and it looked pretty good

Personal Ranking: Worst: Acacia, good with it's self and in specifically-styled architecture but not much else. 2nd Worst: Azalea, just uses different leaves. The trees can look good but the random dirrection annoys me. (Also I found one under water naturally which is cool) Tie: Warped + Crimson, looks cool in the nether but not much else. The door and trapdoor designs look amazing as well. 2nd tie: Jungle and Birch, Jungle trees are really cool and also for treehouse cities to be possible. Birch works well with oak but the log is only useful for Zebra statues. 4th: Mangrove, really interesting generation, cool wood colour and unique properties. 3rd: Dark Oak, looks good coupled with Spruce and in haunted houses and the trees look amazing. 2nd: Oak, can't go wrong with the OG. 1st: Spruce, f***ing emaculate.

A tier darkoak- best one to take out on its own due to how thick they are, classy, magical-looking B tier birch- oak but better with planks, it is lighter acacia- cool shape on the trees, best looking one, would be a tier if the door didnt suck C tier oak- the most basic wood, middle ground D tier spruce- too tall to mine without you going up which sucks- looks good, outclassed by dark oak jungle- dirtiest looking wood but still has a place in themed buildings F tier blue wood and red wood thing, I care so less for them that I dont remember the names. they are found in the nether, which sucks- they suck as well as a result. only positive is you can build dinkleberg's house with the blue one and timmy turner's with the red one, i did the dinkleberg cause i was a bad neighbor in minecraft, couldnt finish the evil hideout though

Ok but hear me out, Jungle planks are amazing. They contrast beautifully with both dark and light woods. Are warm and not too bright (cough couch acacia). I'm not gonna say they're the best but used in the right situation like flooring how I tend to use em, they generally add to a build

Also, I have acualy made some combos of wood and stone myself, here are my favourites: Oak + Cobble (A classic for any minecraft player) Birch + Polished Diorite Spruce + Andesite Dark oak + Stone bricks Jungle + Polished Granite Acacia + Orange concrete (I wanna put easy to find/craft blocks) Crimson + Netherack block or nether brick Warped + Cyan concrete

I'm gonna SHARE MY OPINION Oak: Pretty much just a placeholder Spruce: You're really basic but I get it Birch: You're really basic but it doesn't even look good Jungle: Only option you had or you needed something orange and didn't have acacia Acacia: Only option you had or you needed something orange Dark Oak: Darker spruce. Goes with almost nothing Crimson: Pretty basic. Reserved for mostly nether builds Warped: Works in both the nether and overworld but isn't used very often

Warp and Crimson Woods for me! I love the colors, how the texture on the Warp/Crimson Stems have this neat animation in the vine designs AND it's all fireproof! Win/Win for me! And Jungle Trees, you get MORE wood to make more charcoals, so WHAT!? Also you get Vines! Vines are nature's ladders when you use Shears on them! Not to mention that you can build a TREEHOUSE in those things and can see further in the highest parts! I get the "Haters gonna Hate" thing, but REALLY! I figured Acacia Trees would be the most hated! Like, they're orange trees, yes, but you can't get a huge tree if you plant four trees together! The ONLY trees that you can get thicker and taller trees grown are Pine, Dark Oak and Jungle! Warp and Crimson Stems just randomly grow tall or have thicker trunks!

I'm ngl, I have pent up resentment for oak doors😭 I played Minecraft back before they added different door types, and I remember always being mad bc no matter what I built, the FREAKING DOOR WOULDN'T MATCH AND IT WAS ALWAYS UGLY AND I JUST AAAHHH- Anyway, I have legit never used an oak door ever since they added different door types. Like, I'll always go out of my way to find birth or spruce or anything else EXCEPT a freaking oak door.
