depending on how you setup stretch it will give u more fps its not much and not worth it though just for the fps as the resolution of your game is actually lower

Lowering your resolution can make your game more CPU bound causing lower frames. Some people don't feel like they get better input latency and some people do. It happens.

If you have low end mid end pc, you get more fps with lower resolution, when you have gpu and cpu balance is better, but with high-end if you have low res you got bottleneck with low res.

whenever u switch to a new res for the first time you get lower fps, idk why but after I switch my resolution I restart my game and it gives me less stutters! may be different if you use an Nvidia GPU (I use AMD)

No, not for laggy laptops. When I had a laggy laptop I used 1024x768 I think and it gave me a massive fps boost. If your laptop is really low end, then switching to lower resolutions will give it a massive fps boost. He just didn’t get an fps boost because he has a really high end pc

1. Doublecheck your in-game ‘3D Resolution’ is “100” (or 75+ at least). 2. Ensure your ‘Windows Scaling Size’ in the Display Settings is at “100%” or set to “Recommended”. 3. Check your ‘Display Scaling Mode’ is set to “Fullscreen” in your GPU Control Panel [NVIDIA/AMD/Intel].

@Rama12323 of course brother, no problem! And the FPS boost depends on your system specs: If you have a Low-end PC (I.e. less than 16GB 3200Mhz RAM + an NVIDIA GTX GPU or worse), you’ll benefit from using a stretched resolution 🙏

If this doesn’t work, maybe try the CRU (Custom Resolution Utility) method instead - it’s an app you can download and find a tutorial online!

Stretched res gives you input delay since you have to use scaling to fit resolutions to your monitor. if there’s a way for you to get rid of black borders & skip using scaling then it’ll be worth it

Ensure your default/native monitor resolution is 1920x1080 and that your resolution scaling is set to ‘Fullscreen’ in the NVIDIA Control Panel (same concept works for AMD)

But every time i go lower than 1920 x 1080 16:9 (for example 1680 x 1050 ) , my Fortnite in Game Resolution switches automatically to 3840 X 2160 16:9 . My Monitor is only Fhd 1920 x 1080 .
