@@nmatheis or maybe IEMs are generally becoming very good. I find that generally to be true. The biggest differentiator among the top 20% of IEMs is their tuning, and that’s a preference.

Can you elaborate more on MP145 versus Supermix 4? Everyone I've asked says that Supermix 4 is worth getting and that it's better than MP145. And here I am, with my MP145 looking for next set, even when I like them a lot

I have the SM4, but not the MP145 but of the few hybrids I own, my go to is the SM4. They sound really good to my ears and scale really well with more power(Shanling UA4 balanced output v. Fiio KA17 balanced output and desktop mode)

Got both of them. sm4 is pretty technical, quick, etc. But they feels not realistic to me, "plasticky" i would say. So mp145 is above. mp145 have to cons: they are slow and HUGE. For 90% of the peoply mp145 wold not be comfortable to use.

Well putting alba to decent is criminal lol. I have alba, quintet, nova, s12pro and ea500 on my desk right now and I'm literally hooked with the alba all day. The resolution and openness it has to offer is excellent. It is the only normal sounding IEM that I have rn.

@@s1lverhand_ the thing about the alba is that it is a very decently tuned iem but it does not scale and is rather limited at its level. Despite that. I did enjoy it though.

Odd, this is the only time I've seen a positive review on the 7Hz Five. I used to have one and it was shouty and harsh as hell. I would personally place that in the bottom or decent tier then move the Dynaquattro up to excellent. Totally subjective though.

A little harsh but not shouty imo. They have a special tuning and I guess he just really likes that tuning. I think they're just alright and I imagine most people wouldn't love that tuning. But yeah, subjective

Personally, I would've ranked them in excellent. I absolutely love the way the Dynaquattro presents bass and mids. Soundstage/imaging sounds holographic to my ears. Maybe it's a personal HRTF thing
