In season 7 (i think) he was revealed that he got his quirk from One For all, he was the one who led the LOV to UA all those times. Aoyama was the UA traitor. They said now that Aoyama is "connected" to OFA, they cant escape from him. If they did try to escape, Aoyama and his parents would drop dead. (Killed by One For All)

For me, the Ultimate punch is and always will be Aoyama. Now, believe me when I say I have ZERO idea as to why, but the second, and I mean the LITERAL MOMENT Aoyama appeared on the screen, it's like my instincts kicked in, and I rapidly developed an immediate hatred right there and then! To this day, I still don't know why that's the case. But BOY was I satisfied when the Queen herself, Mina Ashido, gave him the best deserving uppercut that I could have asked for with his pants down in front of everyone (including on TV) at the School Sports Festival!! In some ways, I feel avenged.
