I’ve heard amazing things about Lone Women by Victor!! I also loved Piranesi and I still have The once and future witches on my TBR!! This is such a great idea, I’m going to write down my own list of authors to try next year 🥰 and James Baldwin will be on there, I can’t believe I still haven’t read him!

I am unfortunately so with you on Le Guin... Though I have heard good things about The Word for World is Forest and I am still cautiously optimistic about that one. Also really need to try your no. 1 pick! Glad this was overall a successful challenge :)))

I so wanna rec Starling House for you cause I really enjoyed it BUT it makes me nervous to rec because its a bit gothic BUT I think you could like it because its more gothic in atmosphere than in writing style and tone its def on the list of gothic books I'd recommend for people who don't like gothic books, but I also know you won't enjoy the "romance" in it because that was also not something I cared about (I thought it was .... fine) but I think you would def enjoy the legend/ fairytale aspects of the book its not exactly that but I don't wanna post spoilers. I also don't think it would be an all time fav for you either so maybe this entire paragraph is a waste of time LOL I don't even think you would rate it 5 stars I just think you would enjoy it.
