As an Arsenal fan, Odegaard is clearly our best player, especially if you actually watch every game. One of the only players who controls the tempo from deep and creates chances high up, as well as adding goals to his game. Saliba Rice and Gabriel are next from this season.

Watkins has to be in the top 5. Most assists with 13 & 19 goals (none of them penalties) & it’s not just about his stats his all round game has been second to none compared to other strikers in the league.

Might be considered bias as an Arsenal fan. Think I'm being pretty fair and honest. 1. Ollie Watkins (No debate, 40 goal contributions, NO PENS, Champions league spot for Aston Villa) 2. Phil Foden (Picked up the slack from some other City players who have been better in past seasons) 3. Declan Rice (We're literally saying £100mil was half price for the guy) 4. Rodri (The stats do not lie, City do not lose with him, they do without him) 5. William Saliba (Have to give defenders credit, him and Gabriel is the best partnership, Saliba always gets the most praise and MOTM however) 6. Martin Odegaard (Most Creative player in the league, should get more goal contributions but the chances are not always finished or he assists the assist, controls the play) 7. Cole Palmer (Really dislike having to include him, basically half of his goals are Pens BUT he does still have to beat the keeper & he has rapidly improved Chelsea by himself) 8. Erling Haaland (Kind of becoming a tap in merchant, but as the main Striker, being in the right place at the right time to finish those tap ins is literally his job, does it better than anyone else) 9. Dominic Solanke (Perfectly fine giving this man credit, Bournemouth overperformed by being midtable) 10 Ben White (I know they chose not to include him but best RB this season by far, very solid numbers defensively as part of a unit & with goals/assists) You could swap Declan Rice & Odegaard, but I gave it to Rice, he had to adjust to moving club, and did so seamlessly. Odegaard did win the fan vote for Arsenal player of the season though. In terms of the other players they had: Alexander Isak (Kind of upset that there isn't space for him, should be up there, Newcastle will not sell him for less than £100mil and they shouldn't sell for any price) Van Dijk (World Class Generational Talent, despise he came from Celtic but he's amazing, think he has been better previously though, likely due to the lack of consistency in Liverpools Defence) Gabriel (Like with Saliba/Ben White, he is part of the main defensive unit, we need him, deserves more credit, scores a decent amount from set pieces too) Saka (Shouldn't be in the top 10 this season, still great though, man of consistency, gets kicked far too much by every single team) Honorable Mention: Jordan Pickford (No Goalkeeper was even considered? Sure Raya was the Golden Glove winner but he has the best defence in the league in front of him, Pickford saves Everton from Relegation largely on his own) Could've put more than one but don't want to start including too many players, no goalkeeper was mentioned. Had to include one.

If you put g/a combine Foden is not far behind and Foden has performed better this season than Palmer. Most people will say Palmer is at Chelsea and Foden at City, but City lost one of their key players on transfer and KDB was injured for long, it was Foden that took that huge responsibility and when Haaland was out of form not scoring it was Foden that took that responsibility too to give City goals and win City games, games City are behind it always Foden that got to equalise or given City the lead, his contribution is the reason City are here today waiting for last day, 17 goals without penalties and 22 goals 9 penalties just 5 more. Palmer deserves young player for what he did is a surprise to everyone and Foden deserves Player of the season for his performance that has impacted his team to challenge for the title, even if Palmer is playing in Arsenal challenging for the league Foden will still win ahead of him.

Arsenal fans are the funniest bunch swear down. Up until the Spurs game every Arsenal fan was saying that Gabriel and arguably even White had better seasons than Saliba and that Saliba this season had a couple of mistakes and wasn't always that good as Gabriel. I am biased as a City fan so I would have Foden and Rodri in 1 and 2. BUT, if I put that aside and transfer my mentality to decide my GOAT and greatest manager, I would have to say Watkins was the player of the season because he was at or amongst the top for goals and assists, and was a HUGE part in getting Villa to that very unlikely champions league spot. In second I would have Rodri because we dont win the title without him. Third, I'd have Palmer because without him, Chelsea finish 10-12th, outside of a UEL/ECL spot. Then Foden in 4th because he scored so many game winners and carried us when KDB was unavailable. Rice in 5th.

dont forget palmer did it in that chelsea side. for me no 1 this year. he didnt have kdb, haalaand, rodri and so on around him.

Palmer in 5th is an absolute joke, Van Djik in the top 10 altogether is absolute madness, the top 5 should be Foden Palmer Odegaard Rice Watkins, the bottom 5 should be Saliba Rodri Solanke Haaland Isaak. You guys are crazy 😂😂😂

Foden that far down? And Rodri, as good as he is, at first? I can defo tell you're an arsenal fan lol, hiding behind putting Rodri first. Odegaard has been way too inconsistent and Saka is just bang average if he doesn't score a penalty when Arenal are already like 3-0 up.
