I agree with you about Polo 67, such an incredible release, first time I wore it I wasn’t expecting much of it and it was fantastic, I was really impressed with the performance as well. It’s nothing groundbreaking but yet it’s not boring at all.

Thr opening is incredible, but it's the Aventus style dry down that kinda stops me from buying a full bottle. I'm told that it is closer to Aventus Cologne which I haven't tried so which makes more sense based on the note breakdown

I don’t know why, but Boss Absolu’s mysterious and complex smell takes me back in time, there is something in that smell that takes me back when I was a child, I don’t know what exactly that;s the thing, but what a nice feeling… And cause I know you are a gamer of excellent taste too, let me tell you it kinda reminds me of a quote from the game we share a lots of love for: “A scattered dream that's like a far-off memory. A good friend of mine loves the Hugo Boss fragrances and have been using only one of them for years. I told him a few days ago to check out the newest variants - and here you mentioned two that I will tell him to try to smell. "Hugo Boss the Scent Elixir" and "Hugo Boss Bottled Absolu" (I was going to make a big deal about you made a writing error in the description, and the actual spelling is "Absolute" - but I was wrong... Happy holidays Peer always good hearing from you. There are two versions of confusion flanker names that are different. Boss Absolute and Boss Absolu. Never actually tried the Absolute however!

The Smoky mountains has the highest tree diversity on earth while South America has the highest plant diversity. Walking through the high country in the Smokys in October the range and scent profiles of that forest is intoxicating. Combined with the smells of different mints and the falling leaves from the trees falling and fermenting is special. Meanwhile the sap from the trees as the temps are lowering permeates the air. All those different rich tree sap amber profiles. ITS JUST HEAVEN! I so much want to recreate this scent profile. So I bought oils that I think combined in skin lotion can get somewhat close to this to add to my cologne. Merry Christmas.

Got stucked with Scent Elixir and Absolu at Sephora, as expected top 2 best release of the year. I ended up buying Boss Bottled Absolu and yeah you're right, it is not for everyone but most of the people I know liked it. Will try to buy Scent Elixir on Boxing Day if they have a good deal but for me, my all time favorite Hugo Boss is Hugo Boss Intense EDP. 😊

Polo 67 is incredible. I sampled HBB Absolu but didn’t love it on the test strip…initially, but thought it was amazing after the drydown kicked in a bit. Opted to go with my other tester, Versace Eros EDP in stead. Either one, even though very different, is very good in its own way

I don't own anything from this year but watched and upvoted anyway because they will still smell nice in 2025. Could you recommend a fragrance appropriate for Vancouver? Hopefully something versatile that can be worn in the day to ward off pan handling junkies but also makes a pint affordable during the evening. YSL Y Elixir has grown on me but they should’ve marketed it as “aquatic leather”. My favorite designer release this year is Prada LR Ocean Le Parfum. There’s nostalgic McBling era scent that it has and I appreciate it as a millennial. 😂
