What I see with Shidou is his absolute weapon "Extreme spatial awareness" inside the penalty area, just give him the ball and he will score even, like extreme predator vision, for me that playstyle would be S tier.

Kaiser doesn't need Ness to shine, bruh. The latest play that Kaiser did was the evidence, and besides, Isagi himself says that Kaiser is his ideal perfect form. In terms of playstyle, Kaiser had Sae beat as he's purely a striker with the abilities of a midfielder combined with a striking and defending abilities; basically, a one-man team. On the other hand, Sae is mainly a midfielder who supports his team to score ok sure Sae can score but it's not as lethal as the Kaiser Impact and he's main purpose is so set up goals anyways, even though Kaiser has the ability to do so too, he chooses not to. You need to understand that if Kaiser actually tries not to hog the ball and be a team player, he is literally an all-rounder. With his nearly perfected meta vision, he can easily defend much better than a bunch of defenders, as well as assist or score for himself. Just imagine if Kaiser were the one on the U20 match; dude would obliterate the Blue Lockers with no difficulty, as he basically can on Neo with low to mid difficulty.

Besides, you're hyping Sae far too early. Sure, he displayed magnificent play in the U20 match, but the players weren't that good yet, and they still lost. Granted, Sae might not have played seriously the whole game, but he did towards the end and still ended up losing with a post rin nonetheless. I'm pretty sure they will improve Sae much more for the next time he shows up, but with the play and ability he had shown, it's probably below Isagi's playstyle. I don't understand why you're trying to low-ball everyone else and high-ball Sae. If Isagi chose to assist rather than trying to score for himself, he could be such a monster on the field. However, he chooses not to and wants to score, so claiming that Sae's playstyle is superior is not valid for now. I'm not even being biased here; my favorite character is Sae. With that clean flow and the goofy yet serious demeanor, it made Sae my favorite besides Nagi.

You can't put in kaiser's hypothetical "team player" in a argument about PLAYSTYLES. Kaiser's playstyle means he won't be a midfielder or team player since he is a striker. And in the u20 game, kaiser literally is a striker so of course he would obliterate the bluelock 11. Sae is a midfielder, and doesn't go in for goals himself instead going to pass to his teammates. When his teammates are below the lvl of bluelock 11 (besides shidou), of course he would perform worse than kaiser in that situation. We aren't ranking how good they are, but their playstyles and sae is a much better all rounder because of his playstyle as opposed to kaiser, who has the ability to be one, but won't. Sae can and has been shown to score if he wants to, while also being flexible in his supports while kaiser is purely using his abilities to score himself. Kaiser's playstyle makes him better as a striker, while Sae's makes him a better midfielder and a better player all around. And isagi just wouldn't be as good as sae in a midfielder position because sae just has better self reliant weapons which can create more openings for his team. Even if isagi was better in a midfielder support position, his playstyle would still be below Sae's because Isagi uses his weapons as a striker, not a midfielder.

That's the most biased take I've ever seen. As you literally said, we are talking about playstyles here. It doesn't matter if Sae has better skills as a midfielder, as he literally is one. The thing that matters in playstyle is getting your team to win. It doesn't matter if they can't win. Sae not only had trouble scoring but even defending against players like Rin and Nagi. Second, saying that Sae has a better playstyle as he's using it as a midfielder is biased as heck. You said it yourself, Kaiser would obliterate the U20 match, but not Sae, as his playstyle relies on his teammates to score. If not for Shidou, U20 would get obliterated by Bluelock. How is the playstyle good if he cannot do a thing if his team is bad then? Could you please just wait for Sae's abilities to shine rather than always being biased because you like the character or you're forcing yourself to agree with what you're watching? This is basically the same thing that ranks Loki already if he's good or not as a master. Both isagi and Kaiser (but much more for isagi) does rely on other people to win due to their calculating play style. If their teammates can’t receive good passes, or make good passes, Kaiser and isagi are both nerfed by a lot. And Sae also has a skill to set up people’s goals. Sae has meta vision, much better 1v1 skills, and much better passes than isagi. Sae can go in for goals because we literally saw him score in the U20 game. The “hypothetically” was on assisting goals. Ik Kaiser can defend, I never said he couldn’t or wouldn’t. But he hasn’t been shown to assist in other people’s goals, but only going in for the goal himself. Sae has been shown to have good dribbling, having amazing assists, and good scoring capability as well while Kaiser only plays as a striker to score himself, not focusing on assists at all. It was pretty obvious that sae wasn’t going all out in the U20 game, considering he literally got past most of the bluelock eleven and would have ended the game if he had calculated rin into his pass to shidou. I just say that sae is more versatile with his playstyle because he can be self reliant with his amazing 1v1 skills, he has the best passes in the manga so far, he has meta vision, and he also has good scoring capabilities, while Kaiser lacks the passes and assist capabilities that sae has. Of course we don’t know how sae is when he is completely serious, but it’s obvious he has an extremely versatile playstyle that imo is better in it’s ideal situation than Kaiser’s playstyle.

Great vid, bro. I have to say, though, this felt more like a versatility tier list than a playstyle tier list. I was under the impression that a playstyle was a philosophy/deeper design to how a player plays and how he uses his skilset to achieve that rather than using a player's set of skills to define the player. I think the naming of playstyles may have been accurate but I don't know if I can agree with definition. For example, Isagi and Rin's playstyles can both be labelled as destructive playstyles as they aim to defang their opponents and teammates and take them out of a game. The difference may be how they achieve that. Isagi may analyse a player's egocentricism and use Meta-Vision and off the ball movement to adapt and "devour" opponents/teammates whilst Rin baits an opponent's playstyle and uses it against them (it's almost like a Reverse-Chameleon in that it plays by/adapts to an opponents rules and destroys says opponent). Same base philosophy but different playstyles used to achieve it. Or let's take Karasu for example. Whilst he is calculative as a player, his playstyle can be said to lean on the destructive side. He is calculative (broadly speaking) but his calculation is different from Isagi or Rin, specifically because of his "assassin/crow" playstyle. Karasu's playstyle (deeper philosophy behind his plays) is to ALWAYS target the chink in an opponent's armour and spend the rest of the game exploiting (or pecking like a crow) it until that player is taken out of the game. If a weakness doesn't exist, he works to create one using his analytical mind and excellent ball-keeping abilities. Does that not sound like something that's in the vein of Rin, Isagi or Barou destructive playstyle?He's the best at retaining possession and being press-resistant because in order to enact his playstyle. Moreover, both Barou and Shidou are also destructive in their playstyles but their destruction is based off of irrationality (hence both of them were Jokers to Ego). Isagi and Rin use logic to throw the field/opponents into chaos whilst Barou and Shidou just ripped up any tactical plans, achieving the same thing The point I'm trying to make is that abilities and weapons are extensions of a player's playstyle. Isagi wouldn’t need an ability Predator Eye because his playstyle isn’t reliant on high technical ability. That's why we (and the manga) can say Nagi doesn’t have a playstyle yet (or has a passive playstyle). He has no set system to how he plays and what he wants to achieve. He just reacts/improvises to whatever ball he receives. Hence, Agi trying to teach him. Maybe that's why Otoya was classified as "useless" despite his playstyle being very similar to Isagi. They both play as "shadows" to their team's traditional forwards (Isagi as a shadow to Kunigami, Chigiri, Nagi, Rin and Kaiser and Otoya as Bachira's freestyle shadow), both being a nightmare to defenders and creating chemical reactions with their forwards (giving said forwards limitless options). Both their playstyles are centered on their off the ball movement (Isagi using Meta-Vision to get to advantageous positions whilst Otoya uses stealth (literally sneaking up on opponents to achieve the same thing). Both of them "disappear" from opponents view but it's just their processes that are different. This is how I viewed playstyles. This ended up becoming a rant😅

Three weeks later, I'm coming back to this topic of playstyles😅😂. Good video overall. Would you be interested in doing a further deep dive into some players' playstyles? Like, a deeper and more specific breakdown of players that may have "similar" playstyles. For example, breaking down the "originality behind playstyles" of players. Lavinho, Bachira, Yukimiya, and even Chigiri have a dribbling playstyle, but they're all different based on their originality. Lavinho has the Butterfly 🦋 image, which makes him almost float/ glide past defences like a feather, whilst Bachira has the Monster that relentlessly and violently persists on attacking (like a child). Then you have Yukimiya and his rigid "traffic dribbling" where he sees various "roads and avenues" of attack. Chigiri, like a panther, uses his speedy and agile dribbles to invade/hunt the box by squeezing through the tiny spaces between players. Then there are others like Shidou's Dragon, Barou's Lion, Reo's Chameleon, Snuffy's Phoenix (was it a phoenix?), Noa's Machine, Sae's Equations, Rin's Hydra-like monster etc. I think it'd be a fun and interesting way to break down how players see the game and the effectiveness of their playstyles

As important as self reliance is. It matters less depending on the position. A true striker shouldn’t need to be overly self reliant because their job isn’t to handle the ball and create chances. It’s to finish those chances. While if your a winger you need to be more self reliant. Obviously not every striker needs to be purely goal scorer but that’s why the position is suppose to be on default. That’s why I think barou has to be S tier. He’s the best finisher we’ve seen excluding the new gen 11. He can score from any distance comfortably. Him being self reliant should just be a bonus

Bro even though Tokimitsu didnt have much screen time since the U-20 I would still say hes better than Raichi and has better feats. All Raichi did is simply keep him in front of him its just the manga made it seem like he just did something incredible. Tokimitsu was top 3 in BL. Locked up Bachira. And was able to coexist w/ Rin. If I'm being genuienly honest I respect Raichi but hes just kinda a worse version of Tokimitsu. All he has is a stronger mentality then him and has too much self-confidence.

On it’s own all rounder can’t do much either. Justice for specialty players like Gagamaru, bachira, and especially Kaiser, he’s a great dribbler in addition to scoring machine
