A Korean here, came across your video while looking for some hair styling tips for curlies which I am. Curly population in Korea is definitely a minority, and I couldn't find proper styling tips fit for me. I'm really glad that I watched this, your styling tips and guides for choosing pomades really helped A LOT. Finally I can stop wasting hundreds of bucks to get my hair straightened out just to avoid looking like a darn hobo. We might differ in nationalities, but together we stand as curlies😎

Only recently decided to grow my hair out, and stumbled across your curly hair styling video (which was great!). About 12 years ago I helped a friend of a friend install a Sonos speaker system in their Hair Salon business, and as well as payment, he gave me some Paul Mitchell Matte hairwax. Over those 12 years it sat collecting dust in my bathroom until a couple of months ago! Still works a charm despite the wax enterring it's teenage years 🤣 Looking forward to more vids!

Im kinda in a situation i just dont know anymore what to do. Everytime i think i finally have a way to shape my hair it just doesnt work anymore after a week. And the wind always screws my hair up. And when im inside i try to fix my hair from the wind and try to make it look good again but it dont work and then my hair is fluffy. My hair looks different everyday. And when my hair looks OK 2/3 days in a row, it just flops and sit like garbage for the following week. My curls are standing ``forward`` So yeah. Any tips? haha.
@MrFrankieJoseph5 ай бұрын
Ok I’m going to try haha in terms of fixing your hair after being in the wind, wet your hands first then it helps the product come back a little bit. My hair looks a little different everyday but the most important part is getting it to a length you like and try to keep it there. My hair grows quick so every 2 weeks I have to make some tweaks to what I do to it

The shaking is more of a reset. If you feel like you touched it too much and it’s lookin crazy, shake your head and start over. But if you can’t shake your head, use your hands and scrunch it a bit 🙏🏼 or shake your head slow as hell. If your hair is long enough it’ll work

Bro could you do the rense everyday with a perm? Idk what my stylist expects when she gives me warnings about using a product everyday I ain’t tryna wake up with bed head everyday and just go on with my day
@MrFrankieJoseph5 ай бұрын
I’ve never permed my hair but I used to chemically straighten it, which I believe is the same process lol. In my experience it’s totally fine to get your hair wet with a perm as much as you want however your hairs been through a lot during that process. It’s delicate cuz of all the chemicals so be nice to it lol. washing it once a week with shampoo is enough to keep it clean and not ruin your hair. You can rinse the products out with straight up water in the shower everyday, just don’t shampoo everyday. Condition 2 or 3 times a week, otherwise, just rinse whatever ur using out with water

Hello Lord Frankie of House Joseph (on your last video I asked what to call you and you said to call you whatever, so I went with what felt right) thank you for trying so many products for us in the name of science. I recently found a curl cream that has worked wonderfully for my curly hair, the brand is called Rizos Curls and they’re available at Target, Ik you’re a pomade guy but since you expanded your horizons in this video, maybe curl creams could be your next great adventure 👀👀 Just some food for thought since you’ve inspired me on my curly hair journey so I figured I’d try and give back 😅 Also I was wondering if you had any advice. You seem like a guy that has his life together, from your grooming, physique, career, fashion, etc all seems so nice ya know. I’m 24 and still pretty lost. I’m currently unemployed, I have a college degree, work experience and I’m applying for jobs and internships (even though NOBODY wants to hire me 🙃🙃) but I don’t really have passions or a career in mind ya know. I never really have. And I know that part of being an adult is facing the unknown but I just feel lost. And idk if you can relate to that feeling but you seem like a great guy with a great life so I figured “let’s see what Frankie has to say” 😅 Super sorry if this is weird, or too long of a comment, no pressure to respond or say anything I just figured there’s no harm in asking….so yeah thank you for coming to my TedTalk and thanks again for the video !
@MrFrankieJoseph5 ай бұрын
Hahaha maaaan this comment made me laugh. I’m definitely going to try out Rizos, thanks for the tip 🙏🏼🙏🏼 As for the advice, I do not have my shit together at all but hey I’m glad I’m giving out that vibe !! honestly man the best advice I have is for you, especially if you’re not sure what direction you want to go in, is to travel or try moving somewhere new. I felt the same way when I graduated from college at 23. I ended up getting an internship in LA, so I moved across the country and just kinda winged it. But once I was somewhere new, I felt like a new person in terms of being able to really figure out what you want to do with your life, on your own terms without the influence of the friends and family that have known you your whole life. After a few years of doing random jobs, I landed in the role I’m in now (I’m a Senior Creative at a Creative Agency) and figured out that I loved making commercials and videos. But it took me a few years to really figure it out. Youre still young, don’t feel lost. I’d do anything to go back to 24 lol. You have the world by the balls at this age, don’t waste any time. Travel and have experiences. Through those uncomfortable experiences you’ll find your path, believe me.
@goldcoin10115 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for responding and for the advice, it was really inspiring and I needed to hear it. And also thank you for sharing your story it’s nice to here how you had to find your own path too.
