I think the second season will do a lot of good for the early boots. I think Caleb in particular will get more screentime since it's really hinted that he would be a fierce competitor. I think Julia is my favorite too (between her or Raj). She was such a great villain and I hope she becomes a finalist next season.

Julia (the queen, moment & above all the true QUEEN) Edit: Yesterday on 9th december I've watched the season of TDIR 2023 and it is a perfect comeback revival for the series to be freshed out better and I love and enjoyed the season the most especially the cast of characters being the highligths in terms of personality, characterization, interactions, episode actions and main storylines overall.

My ranking: #16: Ripper I found him annoying and unfunny. Farting jokes in 2023? Seriously? #15: Chase Like you said, he is toxic and selfish. In my opinion his story should have ended in episode 7 or 8 when Chase and Emma got back together and lived happily ever after #14: Emma I put her so low because of her last episode. She was terrible in this episode #13: Caleb It's a miracle that he appeared so high in the ranking. He got little screen time and it wouldn't make sense to rank him higher. But I don't want him to have any more of that screen time because he'd probably be just like Justin or Alejandro, and you always need a little originality. #12: Axel She has a lot of potential. In my opinion, she and Ripper should switch places (Ripper should be eliminated in the second episode) I hope she gets more screen time next season #11: Nichelle Like Caleb and Axel, she was given too little screen time. I didn't like her too much anyway and I didn't complain when she was eliminated, but who knows, maybe next season she will be good #10: Damien The idea of ​​a character who hasn't watched the show before and isn't ready for what he is getting into is really interesting. But like you said his elimination is one of the most absurd in the whole series. He MUST show what he can do next season #9: Millie In my opinion, she was a bit boring and went way too far. But even so, I like her #8: Priya Same as Millie, but a little better #7: Julia Please don't send dirt on me. In my opinion, she is a very basic villain and too much like Heather. The idea that she was nice at first and suddenly turns out to be someone else halfway through the series isn't new either, except it was rarely used in Total Drama. She is even a good character, but in my opinion too overrated #6: Scary Girl She's just a comedic character, there's no point in trying to make sense of her. In my opinion, she does its job well #5: Zee Even though he was insignificant and might as well be gone early, his presence made me feel good. He is just positive and cool, which makes it hard not to like him. His elimination was even more absurd than Damien's #4: MK I was really positively surprised by her. She is probably the most interesting character in the season. Her strategy was out of the ordinary and I love her sarcasm. I hope she'll be a villain next season #3: Raj #2: Wayne I was positively surprised by them too. It's kind of a combination of Katie & Sadie and Geoff & Brody. Unlike Katie and Sadie, here you can see that they really are best friends. They both had great roles in the series. Raj had a great love story with Bowie and Wayne was a great supporter #1: Bowie Without a doubt the best character. In my opinion, he was the real antagonist, not Julia. His strategy was the best, the design is great, the story is great, and I love everything about him. In my opinion, only Wayne, Raj and himself are great even compared to the first cast. We'll see how it goes next season

Finally someone who doesn't declare Bowie a secondary antagonist just because "He wasn't mean enough to be the main antagonist". Villains aren't always like that, especially when their objective is just to win a competition and that means playing the game with no holds barred and taking every advantage that comes up, which means at least one person is going to get taken down when they least deserve it. Bowie never struck me as evil or cruel, just committed to winning, no matter what he had to do to get there. It was probably also an intentional choice to contrast him with Julia, the other villain, who was petty in her cruelty - and that's why just about everyone preferred Bowie over her in-universe, and him getting further than her just proves that part of playing the game is getting along with your competition.

Julia hella overrated Bowie is obv the best you got the best opinion here. Julia gets injuries like Raj and Wayne but she doesn’t go to the hospital and she’s better the next day like what just dumb reasons to keep her like when Bowie said her followers were bots like just ring the fucking bell 1st bro what are you doing 💀 Also Chase fans are annoying he literally sucks I love Emma Ripper fans are also annoying he does carry some of the challenges tho

1:38 i agree with you with his friendship with Zee as they both were really good together and one of Chases few scenes where he wasn't thinking about Emma who is a character i don't like, but Chase is still my favorite character along with Zee either way

well, i really dislike him! I usually like characters who are self-centered, but the majority of them are villains which makes them okay and they actually have a reason! While Chase was dumb and didn't even realise he is wrong...
