I do like Brittana but I’ve never been a big fan of their vocal chemistry. Whenever they sing together Santana completely over powers Brittany, and you can barely hear her. Finn and Quinn have the same issue.

I feel like Rachel and Jesse work SO well because they’re both very powerful voices but they know how to not clash. I absolutely love Finn and Rach (I would have loved to see them as #1, but Finn’s voice is sooo different from Rachel’s that objectively there is a little clashing.

Some non-romantic duos with great vocal chemistry: 1. Santana & Sebastian’s Smooth Criminal, ofc 2. Vocal Adrenaline (I think that’s the Jonathan Groff team; it’s been years lol) singing Bohemian Rhapsody while the vocalization of Quinn giving birth is cut in 3. Anything with Mercedes & Santana; they were exceptional and underutilized 4. Rachel & Quinn’s I feel Pretty/Unpretty has to one of my favorite mash-ups of the show that is just good and not a this is insane yet good way

I read a comment a long time ago that pointed out how Rachel's voice often overpowers Finn, Finn's overpowers Quinn's. You'd expect Rachel to overpower Quinn (ik that's not how sound works but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) but instead they mesh so well together. I still think about that comment to this day

I think Kitty and Jake had great chemistry, at least five places higher. Its no surprise that the strongest singers/characters with the most relationships had the best chemistry with multiple people. I agree Lea and Jonathan have the best chemistry, but that is because it is two long time friends singing together and you almost get the feeling they forget to be Rachel and Jesse!

You're right, there's zero argument on first place. But as a huge Brittana fan, I do have to disagree with them being 2nd. Simply put, Heather isn't a singer (really, she'll tell you) and Naya overpowers her alot (though the two you picked are probably their best). I like them together, but there are couples who have better vocal chemistry, mostly because the actors who portray them have more vocal training and history singing (like Lea & Jonathan)

Oh they were only portraying 14/15 they were early 20's when Spring Awakening came out. That would have been very illegal for them to do that show if they were minors.

i agree with your list but i would put sam and quinn much higher. i mean come on even the creators said that they made them a couple because of their vocal chemistry! i totally agree with n1 they are awesome and you do frorget their roles you see them as besties! to me my fav couples not vocally in general are 4. brittanna 3. blaine 2. samcedes and 1. finchel. i dont agree with those who say that rachel overpowers finn when they make a duet. he had a great improvment vocally during the show till today paradise by the dasport light remains my n1 fav glee performance too bad he did not have the chance to show us more of his talent . brody and rachel are an excellent duo their songs were amazing but about the story agree that they broke up. anyway amazing video .

I like the top pick, however I also think the newer members outside the last seasons additions were ignored. Hated Jake and Marley as a couple but man did their voices blend amazingly. I also think Brittany and Santana make great duets but it's just because Santana is a strong singer. Britanny is often overpowered. The only time she really wasn't was with Sam. Same with Rachel and Finn. Literally any of her other serious guys were better vocally with her.

I think some ppl aren’t getting the concept of “romantic” couples v just duets sung by two people. I mean, sure, Will & Bryan Ryan sang BEAUTIFULLY together but they weren’t a “couple”. In any case, I think your list was pretty on the spot. If I had done it, I likely would have switched Will & April w Klaine (meaning Klaine would go down one further) & Jake + Marley or Kitty would have been higher up the list bc I honestly liked his voice apparently more than you did, but otherwise, the entire female ND cast & Sam was hilarious (I hadn’t thought abt that in a while) & #1 would have been just as easy a choice for me as well. They are so perfect together. (But then again, they’ve had much practice.) The switch w Klaine was basically bc while Will & April sounded good in a technical fashion - yes, vocally fine - but they were missing any & all passion. Indeed, Will & Bryan had much more passion in their duet then he and April ever did in theirs (IMPO). Klaine, OTOH, had lovely harmonic vocals & clearly passion in their duets. Can’t think of one off the top of my head that WASNT passionate. Obviously it’s the combo: great chemistry and fantastic vocals. I just didn’t see that w Will & April. And again, it’s really funny how Sam managed to connect w every single girl in ND. He was like a incubus (who I just found out is the male counterpart to subbubi.) I actually feel like I like Chord with just about everyone haha - he has a voice that blends really prettily with others! Also Artie and Tina - Kevin and Jenna singing together just makes me happy 😄And as much as I love Brittana, I do agree with the folks pointing out that Naya tended to over power Heather a bit. Heather's voice is lovely, but it's just a lot breathier and more pop than Naya's full, soulful voice, so it's not the best match.

Only reason Rachel and Jesse won is because of Johnathan and Lea's similar training and experience that they had together prior to anything on glee. I still believe without spring awakening they would sound great together on the show but that experience and the way that their chemistry was built in that show translated to Glee as well working together again and made them better. Just a personal opinion and rant. Also Brittany was always overpowered no matter who she sang.

Dianna and Chord’s chemistry was CRAZY, got me sad their storyline wasn’t longer, whenever Sam and Quinn interacted, their characters just sparked - I don’t even know how to explain. Sam had chemistry with everyone but there was a weird hesitation in both him and Quinn in their scenes that really worked for their characters. Especially in duets.
