@@cronotriggered4314 yeah, but getting through caelid at a low level is TOUGH, so in a sense i kinda like how op it makes you, this occured in other souls games, where your power grew a lot over the course of the game, now you suffer through one area to crush another, idk i do guess it may ruin the bosses for some people, i personally only experienced the phenomenon with a few dungeon bosses, but with the main ones this is definitely the easiest, i just really like the arena and her moveset, and the fakeout was good.

Despite the difficulty being low I think regal ancestor spirit is a really great boss
@thegrapethief55142 жыл бұрын
Honestly, some of the easier bosses in this game are some of the best. Hoarah Loux, Mohg the Omen (his second fight, while cool, can get really stupid with all of the AoEs you have to keep track of at once), and Fire Giant (not crazy hard but really fun) are all not crazy difficult, but their good design makes up for it. Also, some of the hardest bosses in the game are actually some of the worst. Malekith the Black Blade is way too fast for a Souls game (though I primarily blame that on how the game as a whole seems better designed for Sekiro’s combat and movement), Malenia is an amazing boss that FromSoftware turned into an utter abomination with some of her attacks and mechanics, and Godskin Duo is just terrible.
@christianlangdon37662 жыл бұрын
@@thegrapethief5514 yea I found the difficult bosses are difficult more due to poor design. Mogh is fun until he has decided to throw four aoe things at you but is otherwise really great. Even lava wyrms can get cheap kills by scooting you in their lava via their massive hit box. Maleania kinda is a prime example of a her ai determining the fight more so than skill, her ability to potentially spam water fowl dance or not use it at all makes each fight more a roll of the dice as she may not use it for the entire fight until your out of stamina and than decide to use it once. One mistake meaning death is not great, the only other fight that looks like this is the heart of chaos. Yet the rest of her fight is still good and fun. If only some stupid intern wasn't responsible for water fowl dance dodge windows.

I think, Dragonkin can be pretty tough, even though you switched to low level weapon, still you forgot about your massive hp bar. that boss can delete you if you make one mistake early on, and from the footage you did make quite a bit mistakes, now imagine each time you get hit, you are either one hit away from death or you got mangled in wombo combo and you died.
@nickxx.2 жыл бұрын
Exactly. He was overleveled on most bosses. I've killed dragonkin soldier on siofra river by level 30 or something and this boss can easily one shot players on early or even mid game. The other ones were easier for me but rennala above dragonkin feels so weird.
@raodus2 жыл бұрын
If you're not over-leveled by the time you get to Regal Ancestor Spirit, it's harder to burn it down during his healing periods. After each one it will gain new abilities but heal less each time. The most hilarious ability being the roll from the goats.

The only thing that this video has showed me is that everyone’s experience with this game varies a lot, since it surprised me a lot to see astel so early not only that but rennala was a quite a few spots above him which I found really weird reason being is because I beat rennala early game and it took me around 2 to 3 tries however Astel might’ve taken me well over 20+ idk how I always managed to get grabbed and his slam did a ton of damage to me thinking back on it it might’ve been the fact that I neglected spending my runes on vigor to get more health

Leonine misbegotten can be very tough if you fight it early
@ghostlypenguin44172 жыл бұрын
I just REALLY want to talk about Leonine Misbegotten. I fought him as my very first boss, even before Margit, and he was VERY difficult. I couldn’t stun him, and nearly all of his attacks 1 shot me. And all of his aggressive and strangely timed sword swiped has me aching for so long. Definitely underrated imo

Commander Niall and O’Niel are 2 different people. This game has a lot of very similar names. I guess it’s a family thing. Godrick, Godfey, Godwyn…

Don't forget Godefroy, Godrick's twin brother locked up in the Evergaol. To be fair though they're supposed to be similar; Godfrey, Godwyn, Godefroy, and Godrick are all of the Golden Lineage (related to Godfrey, the first Elden Lord, and Queen Marika), Radahn, Ranni, and Rykard are all children of Rennala and Radagon, and Miquella, Malenia, and presumably Morgott, Mohg, and Melina are all children of Radagon and Marika.

Ok the Nergigante theme on the transition to the first dragon was perfect and gave me PTSD from another one of my favorite games with demon AI. Keep it up man!
@sinogaris98542 жыл бұрын
Heh, I knew as soon as you said "no summons and no spirit ash" that Margit was going to end up way higher on this list than he deserves to be. Will be interesting to hear your take on it because to me he was the boss that was supposed to teach people, "you have help, use it". Like with Genichiro and teaching the player to parry. And given just how insanely fast he is to change targets when he wants to it only makes the fight fractionally easier anyway.
@Eclipsed_Embers2 жыл бұрын
that no summons rule is certainly going to place Radahn super high... if there was any boss that was made with the intention of the player summoning then it was him.
@serveitsam1562 жыл бұрын
@@Eclipsed_Embers Honestly, as a bread and butter straight sword melee player, having summons in Radahns fights made it harder for me, especially with Radahns massive AOE swings. I found it simpler when he would never re target mid combo
@DemBigOlEyes2 жыл бұрын
Agreed. As someone who tends to avoid summons for boss battles, this game legit changed my views in that for almost half its roster of bosses. Like damn. To be fair, I don't farm overworld enemies and I tend to boss rush this game even on first playthrough, so it makes sense that encounters will be more difficult for me, and summons become more necessary.

Just FYI, this is all his experience. From myself and many of my friends Niall is significantly more difficult than he places him, easily above this entire group by a wide margin. Tread carefully!

I found it easier in foot since I could just dodge tails wipes and stomps with an actual roll instead of a 70/30% chance of getting hit. When I started fighting Greyll, the tail swipe killed me the majority of the time while on the horse. On foot i did… slightly better

Hmm very interesting that the fire giant was this high up, I used moonveil, on my mage dex build I killed him so fast that I barely got to see his moves. But on my second play trough I’ll go melee only so maybe it’s gone be different.

@@Dahrk_Angel want a hint? 1 of these summons is the best in the game, called ouleg i think (the dual wielding 1), if you get him as spirit get ready to go through the game like a hot knife.(he can literally solo bosses) i wont spoil more but there are 2 others that are tanky as well as deal damage.
