Ranking the Halloween Franchise

Not true at all. Those who like it-like myself-tend to like it a lot. It's just that the people who hate it are very...what's the word?...vocal. But if you like the original premise, it's not just one of the best....it's one of the ONLY sequels to remain true to that motif...

All these movies are at their absolute best when you're 9 years old and sneaking these late at night. I know several horror obsessives made that way. Many who see every new Halloween movie even though it steals a piece of their soul with each new steaming pile

That thumbnail is exactly how I’m feeling. I just rewatched the first 6 again and I’m shocked at how bad they get the further down they go despite how much I hold them dear to my heart. I also agree about the first movie should’ve actually been a standalone and that’s it.

For me, in my personal opinion, I love most of the films in this franchise except the Rob Zombie movies and Halloween Ends. I’m not into those, but I absolutely love all of the rest of them.

The Original mask was used for Halloween 2 as well it looks different because Dick Warlock had a different shape to his face then Nick Castle in the original. William Shatner never sued for the image it really comes down to Tommy Wallace was never involved in production design past 2 even though he directed Season of the Witch that was his last.

KILLS was much better than ENDS; at least Myers was a beast in that movie. RZH2 sucked pumpkin balls & castrated the characters aside from Bracket's character. 🎃🔪

The original and Part 4 are my faves; In "Resurrection" when Busta was dressed as Michael and encountered the real Michael M, he didn't know that was the real guy, he thought it was a staff member, all of the reviewers are making the same complaint, very interesting; Zombie's Halloween II is severely overdone trash, Zombie wouldn't know less is more if it hit him in the face, it is fascinating how trashy it is though, I didn't know it gained a cult following; I didn't mind the mask in Part 4, at least you couldn't see the eyes, I dislike when you can see the eyes; Reportedly, Carpenter was very hands on in Halloween II even though Rick R. was the director.

@@Talesfromtheshelf Yes, I know we know, but that doesn't count as he was disrespecting Michael in that particular scene if he didn't know, perhaps the writers could've written it in a way during that particular scene where he did, but they didn't, now him doing the martial arts kicking on MM, yes, but that particular scene, no, that doesn't count as him disrespecting MM, you're not the only reviewer who has said it, so don't think I'm singling you out.

I'm also a purist, I don't even like Halloween 2 very much. That first film ain't perfect, but it did have a perfect ending. It just feels like a film that is tainted by the existence of sequels. In my opinion, this series is the exact opposite of Friday the 13th as that series has solid sequels and a mediocre first entry.

Halloween franchise is my 2nd favorite horror movie franchise. Here my list its my personal list so don't hate me 13 is rob zombie halloween 2 i hate this movie 12 halloween 5 revenge of michael Meyers the thorn story plot i didn't like the character tina was so annoying forgettable characters except for jamie and dr loomis 11 halloween 6 curse of michael Meyers i watch both theatrical cut and directors cut my feelings is same for halloween 5 only characters i remember is dr loomis and tommy paul rudd. 10 halloween ends i didn't like it the left alot unanswered questions 9 halloween 3 season of the witch i enjoyed this movie only reason i ranking this low no michael Meyers. 8 halloween resurrection i have a love and hate relationship with this movie love ideas they were trying to accomplish in the movie but hate it the execution but more i re-watch it more fun i have watching it its a bad halloween movie 7 rob zombie halloween i like it kills were awesome this michael is the scariest michael yet story line not so much 6 halloween 2018 i like it but it ruined my favorite halloween movie lol but i still enjoyed the movie 5 halloween kills i had fun watching this movie kills were awesome got frustrated with the story plot sometimes 4 halloween h20 this my favorite Laurie character in the entire franchise i love this movie even michael Meyers mask was terrible 3 im going to get hate for this one is 1978 halloween my top 3 halloween movies i watch it at least once every 2 months iconic classic 2 halloween the return of michael Meyers i love everything in this movie from dr loomis l love jamie and Rachel but michael Meyers mask was bad lol 1 my will forever be my favorite halloween movie of all time it never change is halloween 2 one of the best horror sequels of all time but one of the best endings to halloween movie.
