Whether he was genuinely concerned for Rhett or not has nothing to do with the part that was bothering Rhett. It was how Link went about it. Clearly you weren't listening to what Rhett was saying, or u didn't understand. Asking a question like "Do you feel disappointed, or like failure?" implies that there is something that person thinks you should feel disappointed, or like a failure about. Even if you feel like they should feel disappointed in themselves, you shouldn't make that known. Especially to a friend, and asking a question like that, shows exactly that.

Yup yup yup all of this! Pushing someone to tell you how they feel isn't the best route. Also pushing them untill they give You the answer you want also not great. It can be super hard to do and if you aren't in the habit of it even harder but just freaking glad they posted this because it's a fantastic example of some of the meta conversations we need to have with family and friends and it doesn't get modeled to us very often!

NGL this might be my favorite GMM lol such genuine reactions from the bois. Love you guys. And congrats to Rhett for his first shod!! I'm in vet school and they wouldn't even let us do that on life horses haha. Only models. So sincerely, good on ya, that stuff is so difficult.

I just want to say that I really loved the episode. It makes me feel sad that you guys (or at least Link) felt like it was a failure! It was super informative and SUCH a nice little breath of fresh air from the usual content, which not that that is bad either but to see a bit more serious experiences is so nice.

GMM is such an important part of my life. I feel like it's one of the last real and genuine things left in the world today. I really am grateful and thankful that the show has been there with me through all kinds of craziness. Thank you guys for what you do.

Rhett was definately more than exhausted, that is why he took Link's sincere questions so bad and he couldnt take the jokey ones at all. Link has clearly learned from therapy but as usual the crew gang up on Link for anything, as if Rhett was the perfect person to talk about expressing and sharing emotions

It started that way, but they are entertainers first and started leaning into it for the show. They've gotten really good at expanding on an idea and turning it into something watchable. Having said that, there was a nugget of truth in the things they said, and that's why we as the viewer buy into it. Not all sketch comedy has to be funny. Awkward is compelling too.

This episode went perfectly, farriers put up with alot of work and destroy their bodies. It was highly entertaining. Also the emotional education part was deeply reflective. I think what Rhett was feeling at the end of the episode was a come down of adrenaline. Link was trying to continue with a bit and also maybe enjoying watching something be difficult for Rhett. In link's mind Rhett can do almost anything so it must be truly odd for him to see his friend in this position. Rhett was feeling under attack, as his true emotions he likes to hide. at least the ones he doesn't find desirable. You guys rock and I enjoy watching how you deal with these situations!

I really liked this More episode, and I completely understand where Rhett was coming from. Even if Link had genuine concern about Rhett, that wasn't the only thing he was conveying. It was how Link went about it. Asking a question like "Do you feel disappointed, or like failure?" implies that there is something that u feel that person should feel disappointed, or like a failure about. Even if you feel like they should feel disappointed in themselves, you shouldn't make that known. Especially to a friend, and asking a question like that, shows exactly that.

Rhett IMHO was being a tad sensitive. He is somebody who is prideful and link saying he hopes he isn't upset. That he did a really good job and that he couldn't have done it. But instead it became an attack about emotional intelligence.

I had to learn how to cut a cow's claws when I was working on a dairy farm (they're called claws instead of hooves because they have two). It is actually quite stressful emotionally because of the responsibility you have for that animal. It feels like taking an exam but someone else has to bare the consequences if you screw up. In that case, an animal. I don't believe that Rhett only felt exhausted. Hence, I also think it was warranted when Link kept asking him how he "really" feels.
@QueenKristoff2 жыл бұрын
I know what Rhett was saying! I learned this! When asking how one is feeling, don't ask by leading with the feeling you assume,just ask it. Like instead of "Are you sad?" Or "Are you mad?" Ask "How are you feeling?"

Honestly, I loved the Morning. It was something new, and I love horses. It was also really nice to see a more serious side (as much as I obviously love the silly side of them). It was nice to see Link trying to support Rhett as well. And it was obvious how much it meant to Rhett to see it through, until the concern for the horse came above his stubbornness and persistence to finish. He did great. And it was STILL entertaining. That's not even a question. As far as the More, same thing. Nice to see a serious, "human" side to it. I was also still "entertained". I listened, I watched to the end. I enjoyed the content of both episodes. I didn't see any sort of failure in either episode.
