This video was absolutely amazing! Usually (for me at least) rank videos are hit or miss but this one was a huge hit! I think you were able to not only rank characters almost unbiasedly but have good reasons for ranking them. Would love to see you do more like this and maybe even some review content if that is what you would like to do. Again great video would like to see more!

Great vid, I agree with most of your list. Still making my way through Reload (in November) but I love how much they fleshed S.E.E.S. out in the remake. On that note, I would love to see more Persona 3 analysis videos. Perhaps your thoughts on the Original vs Reload, FeMC, The Answer, non-S.E.E.S. members, etc.

Great list, pretty similar to mine too and some good analysis. Reload really fleshed out S.E.E.S. and their characterization, that they've become my favorite Persona cast. While they do not have that special bond of a group like P4 or P5 had, it makes up with their great writing individually and also we gotta consider their circumstances and their reason for joining. Take my like and sub 😌

Thank you very much! Yes they don’t have that bond that makes the p4 cast particularly special but it’s supplemented by real drama and conflict that makes sense and adds depth to these characters that honestly doesn’t appear in other atlus titles.

This is a great character analysis, I agree, yukari is the best written character, and Aigis wasn’t forced, it felt natural. Junpei also surprised me, way better than ryuji and the others in how he matured, finding himself and his purpose.

you bringing up that ken could have been gone longer reminds me of haru who gets yeeted from the party for roughly 3 WEEKS because her dad died. which, while it makes complete sense, just heavily contributes to the problem of her screentime. and no royal doesnt really help this. it just gives her more time for the sl. (tho not much given all the other shit in 3rd semester but im getting sidetracked)

The video is very well made and I enjoyed watching it. Overall, I would agree with you that P3 has a really strong cast. In particular, Junpei, Aigis, and Yukari are the best of the main cast. Also, I too like Yukari more than Aigis. I think Aigis is a fine character and I like her arc in the Answer quite a bit, but I think her Social Link is very unnecessary and tacked on (it literally was tacked on in FES). It just states the main themes of an already NOT subtle game in a really blatant and obvious way for all the dummies in the back. That and I’m really not a fan of the romance with Aigis, it is very cliche. Despite all that, I still like Aigis quite a bit. That being said, I know Aigis gets in all the promo material, but Yukari gives off main heroine vibes. I like her character growth in the Journey and I love her arc in The Answer. The parallels between Yukari’s behavior and what she told us about her mom in her s.link is so peak. I love my flawed, but good natured characters. Also given the events of the answer, I can’t see her not being the main love interest or at least her having romantic feelings for the protag. To me, she works better in that capacity than Aigis.

It's so hard to choose an order because I love all the P3 characters, but I will try: 1. Makoto: A silent protagonist who was able to find a meaning in his life, he will always be my favorite Persona protagonist. 2. Yukari: She and Makoto make my favorite Persona couple in the franchise and she is my favorite girl and waifu in the franchise. 3. Shinjiro: I love when they make a likable character even if it appears in a short time and Shinji makes this perfectly, being my favorite male character in the franchise without counting the protagonist. 4. Aigis: She's basically the second protagonist and if someone doesn't like her, that someone is stupid. 5. Akihiko: His second awakening is so powerful and sad at the same time, just like his backstory. 6. Koromaru: Just like Makoto, he doesn't talk, but his actions and loyalty to help the group makes him my favorite Persona mascot. 7. Junpei: He's my favorite bro character in the franchise and his evolution as a character to trust in Makoto is so good. 8. Mitsuru: She's cool, but her social link is embarrassing. 9. Ken: He's a really strong character for being just a kid with his mother's death and Shinji's death. 10. Fuuka: She's really cute and kind and I like his social link, but she's the only one who doesn't lost someone important and in the original she was a really forgettable character, but now in Reload is so much better.

Great list!! If I were to rank Koro with the human characters he would probably be around there too. And Shinji being so high on everyone’s list is a testament to how good he is as a character when he really doesn’t have that much screen time!

Yukari aint my favourite character but damn it makes me happy to see her at first. Shes great in the journey and amazing too in the amswer. I found yukaris anger in the epilogue self destructive, yes, but also endearing and understandable. Best girl definitely, aigis too. Ps: I would love if you made character ranking for the smt series. Specially digital devil saga

Yeah I wish they did more with her because I think Fuuka had a lot of potential. Still a good character and her new voice in reload carves her character out a lot better
