Ranking the Majority of Insomniac's Games

Insomniac games is one of my favourite PlayStation studios studio of all time ( next to Santa Monica with God Of War ). I enjoy the Spyro games, I’m a big fan of the Ratchet and Clank franchise and I really enjoyed the Spider Man games. ( never played the Resistance games, but I really want to play them). Also my favourite games out of the studio are “Up Your Arsenal”, “A Crack In Time”, the Spider-Man games and “Rift Apart”.

Sucker Punch would be a good one to do despite the fact that they haven't made as much games as Insomniac but there's no denying that their games are awesome, also I like the fact both Insomniac and Sucker Punch respect and acknowledge each other as developers

I believe I've mentioned it on this channel in the past, but when the rumors first came out that a Sony Studio was making Spider-Man, I genuinely thought Sucker Punch would be the ones making it just based off the inFamous series. They're another studio I might take a look at their library...once I've actually played more than inFamous 1, Second Son and Ghost of Tsushima, anyways...

Year Of The Dragon besides being the best Spyro game also has the best music from the trilogy with godly bangers, like Agent 9, Fireworks Factory, Spooky Swamp, Sunny Villa, Midnight Montain...

Insomniac games is in my opinion the most important studio for Sony, they are basically the Rareware of the 90s, they could make so many games with different styles and gameplay and never make a terrible experience

I would agree that they're basically the Rare of Sony. And unlike Nintendo, Sony was smart enough to buy them up before Microsoft could swoop in!

My favorite insomniac game from each franchise (my opinion) 3: sunset overdrive. The reason why I got an Xbox one was because I really looked forward to halo but when I saw this game I tried and it was a fun and an underrated game. 2: spider-man ps4. I played remaster on ps5 and spider man is a great exclusive and I’m more of a iron man fan but spider man is a great superhero and the game was spectacular. 1: ratchet and clank rift apart. I love ratchet and clank rift apart it was my favorite PlayStation exclusive and when I got a PlayStation 5 same thing with spider man And replayed it one more time and it was my game of the year of 2021 it is a great game I really love that game.

I did. But that doesn't mean the game isn't fantastic. It's certainly the best PS3 R&C game, but I personally enjoyed Rift Apart and Deadlocked more. If I ranked just the R&C games from worst to best, it would most likely be #3.

I feel like almost nobody gives ratchet deadlocked's soundtrack enough credit. It's easily the best in the whole franchise. It's what got me into industrial metal/rock music.

The music is something I didn't bring up in this video partly because I wanted to have another thing to talk about in my eventual review. The music fits the environment perfectly and is some of my personal favorite from the series!

I'm fairly confident that it was just DLC for the original game that they turned into a PS5 showcase. Be it Sony asking them to or they themselves choosing to, I have no way of knowing. Either way, I think they more did it as a means of testing out the new hardware so they could better develop Spider-Man 2

This guy is comparing the first ratchet snd clank game as it was a shooter, talking about the shooting "issues" that it has, when it's not a shooter, its a platformer. Ratchet and clank 2 can't be conceived whithout the player not pressing the shoot button for at least 10 seconds, you just empty your cartidges on your enemies and hoping you dont run out of ammo, when in ratchet and clank 1 you have a weapon for every situation and has a lot of more platform areas

Ripto's Rage is an S to me. Year of the Dragon tried to do too much in one game and suffered as a result. I actually prefer the original Ripto's Rage over the remaster because the new developers totally changed Hunter into a "surfer dude" instead of who he was in the original, which was jarring to me personally. I just started the Ratchet and Clank Series with Rift Apart, which I'm about to complete. This brought me to your video. Beat Sunset Overdrive more recently on series X. I will say that I put the game down after a couple of hours when it first came out because I wasn't into the gameplay of constantly changing from jump to grind in order to build up your meter, but it became second nature after a while and then the game showed how amazing and humorous it is. Thank you for the work and your personal ranking.

I can certainly see how someone would feel that way about Ripto's Rage vs Year of the Dragon, and your opinion is as valid as my own! I will admit that nostalgia was a major contributing factor as to why I went with YotD over Ripto, but I'll gladly play either any time, along with the first game. And yeah, surfer bro Hunter wasn't my favorite either...felt very forced and unneeded. Glad you liked the video though!

If I had to guess, they didn't put Resistance on PC because the PS3 was notoriously hard to develop for, and trying to port it wasn't an option without causing delays or releasing a broken product. Plus up until 2019 Insomniac was an independent studio, so taking risks like that can easily sink a studio if they go wrong.

I dont Like deadlocked that much for me it would be B Tier because the Levels are mostly the Same and boring. Instead I would give ratched and Clank 1 A Tier and a crack in time S Tier.

Perfectly valid. As I explained in the video, I always enjoyed the arena combat sequences, and since Deadlocked is just one big arena essentially, it worked for me! I can understand why others might not like it as much.

Tools of destruction, quest for booty and A4O placement hurts me a lot lol, but our S tier is the same (haven’t played sunset or rift) except I’d put ACIT in S Yea I also played the resistance games back to back, but r3 while I think is worse than 2, I still really loved because I used the move for it. I think that’s why I also love killzone 3 the most lol

I honestly went back and forth on whether or not I should place ACIT in S tier or not, but at the end of the day it came down to which games I enjoyed more and it was just slightly edged out by the other S-tier games. Also, I haven't tried Resistance or Killzone with the Move yet (only just recently got the gun accessory) but I'm excited to try them out!

@@valiantattempt9417 it really is night and day with a move, I didn’t even use the gun and I played with a ds3 and normal move (so no gun or the small one handed controller) while sitting down near my monitor so I barely could even aim to the top and even still, it was so good. Killzone 3 definitely does move better than r3 but r3 still does it pretty good
