I've been a John Carpenter fan since I watched The Thing 40 years ago. I still don't know why he did Memories of an Invisible Man.

I've seen John carpenter in interviews on dvd or Blu-ray saying he had bad experiences working with the big Hollywood studios as they always interfered when he made big budget movies.

HYÖKKÄYS POLIISIASEMALLE is Finnish. I was surprised to see the Blu-ray in your hands. 'Hyökkäys' means 'attack' and 'poliisiasemalle' means 'onto (a/the) police station'. 'Poliisi' obviously means 'police', 'asema' is 'station' and '-lle' ending means 'onto'. Finnish is an agglutinative language with a lot of compound words and hence Poliisi, asema and -lle are put together to make 'poliisiasemalle'. That's your Finnish language lesson of the day! 😄 As for John Carpenter movies, I have only seen half dozen of them and I only have four of them on Blu-ray: Prince of Darkness, Halloween, Christine and They Live. As loved as The Thing is, I don't personally enjoy that movie that much. I am not much into gore to begin with. I am not a huge fan of Alien movies either. I have somewhat weird taste in movies, but I guess Starman could be nice watch according to what you said about it.

@@CineApocalypseOnline No problem. I'm happy if I could help! It is a Nordic release with Finnish (Suomi), Norwegian (Norja), Swedish (Ruotsi) and Danish (Tanska) subtitles. Danish, Norwegian and Swedish are very similar languages while Finnish is completely different.

@johnnycarrotheid i do have Cannibal the musical and Orgazmo on dvd, just a matter of digging them out. Is suppose those 2,, Team America and South Park The Movie could work but it would be a short video.

Think JC is done with the movie industry, The Ward, (his last release), he was just a director for hire, he's just given up on that side of things and is more engaged with his music now. A real shame as he could always bring the thunder.
