No it isn't. Ask Bryke. It was written with the clash against Zuko in mind. They wanted contrast. Plus, blue flames has nothing to do with intensity in real life either. It's about fine soot particles being heated. They're usually very stable, calm flames, not nearly as hot as many other forms of gas or unpure oxygen.

I admit that amon may be a better bloodbender, but my point still remains: Korra easily broke out of his grasp without using the avatar state, however everytime Katara has been known to use bloodbending, whether in the comics or the series no one has ever escaped her grip. katara would also be a better all round waterbender considering that yakone only taught amon basics of waterbending and moved straight onto bloodbending. amon is a better bloodbender, but katara has a stronger bloodbending grip. katara also is the better all round waterbender.

Has anyone noticed that most fire-benders bend with a fist of fire but Azula bends mostly with two fingers. Azula focuses on being precise & Agile. Mastering her technique allowed her to produce blue fire by controlling her chi. Azula taught herself the true meaning of Fire which is to be in control. Azula literally worked her bending into perfection. That is one of the reasons why she was able to do lighting when she was going through her mental breakdown because she simply had one of the best techniques.

I agree. But I believe just like with actual blue flam shes no stronger then even Zulu or any other fire bender. Her control is just to the point where her fire is more controlled and thus burns just a bit hotter. I truly believe that once Zulu attained inner peace with the fire dragons he was stronger then azula and could have taken her with his style like he showed against zhao, his swordsmanship techniques that he seemed to adapt to his fire bending and purely his newfound understanding of fire would prove him to be even a more powerful airbender then his father. He was just never given the proper training. I believe if he had not been scarred and force into the inner turmoil he would soon show to be stronger then azula. But that's me.

Tldr azula is smaller jetlike fire that burns hotter because it's the same energy in a small package. Zuko is the same if not more energy spread out. Like iroh, ozai, or even Jeong jeong. Zuko I believe to be stronger if not because of his inner turmoil and search for inner peace

Azula had hardly such level of control as Iroh.. redirection is way more difficult than generating lightning.. as for Azula´s madness, that´s her father´s fault and guilt. Twisting her personality from the youngest age, leading her to be cruel, calculating and he effectively raised her to be powerhungry insolent spoiled brat!!! No wonder she tried whatever she could to put down Zuko, kill Ursa and destroy the letter that would prevent her from succession to the firelord throne, only to be finally abandoned even by Ty Lee and Mai (who both "betrayed" her when she showed herself a complete bitch, attempting to kill her brother) what led her to become even more tyrannical than Ozai banishing practically everyone for even a slightest silly mistake.. No wonder she lost it when Zuko ascended and she tried to make him just like her.. Her ultimate downfall lies in paranoia sown by Ozai that only tyrants like him can be successful firelords..

Toph is at the top of my list. She has literally been the powerhouse in several sieges, came up with a whole new bending (that everyone else thought was impossible), created her own police force and trained two avatars AND she was blind the whole time. If we’re talking pure strength of bending she is the most OP avatar character.

Katara didn’t came up with bloodbending, but she used it against someone who had years of experience and training in it and won. That’s as if Toph would have been in this metalbox and someone would directly (without her being able to get used to her surrounding) start to crunch/press it together. I think amon should be way better placed cause: 1: He can bloodbend (strongest bending but still 🚫 to use) 2: Taking away the bender ability (what only the avatar should be able to use) 3: He is a experienced water bender. What should make him almost op cause when you bloodbend someone you can't move and if you can't move he can easily take away your bender ability example: ( what he did to korra) But still not strong enough to stop the avatar example (amons father vs aang). The best bender was Uncle Iroh As the best bender does not mean the most powerful non bender Iroh was wise,Compationate ,Loving and The best Fatherly figure Zuko could ever even meet. Without Uncle Iroh's guidance Zuko could never have taught Aang Firebending and Aang could not have defeated Ozai So I think Uncle Iroh was the best Character in ATLA .
