Yamamoto vs Faux Yhwach was spectacular with both the colors and the sheer rage Yamamoto unleashed, the hellish monster reemerging and driving home the brutal history both the Quincy and Shinigami share. Yamamoto's death was a turning point both in the war and Soul Society's history as an era literally ended to replaced by something more changed amidst bloodshed.

I know this is is trivial but it’s pretty annoying when people call him by a fan pronunciation instead of the canon pronunciation that debunked the former when we were given the luxury of finally having audio for his name in the form of the anime

Im with you there, its indeed one of my best aswell, my biggest let down was Yhwach vs Ichibei. I kind of preffered the Manga compared to the anime, however the Cour 3 part of it was great, esp Yhwach enjoying the cool pop life perfomance just to spoil the ending and destroy Ichibe.

Spoilers for the video In my opionion, Yamamoto vs Yhwach is for sure the best fight right now, and honestly a big part of it's success is the incredible writing and humanization Yamamoto received. We could not see his rage but feel it too. Yamamoto in tybw is honestly perfectly written.

Ichigo v Uryu very much deserves a spot in the top 3. imho with everything behind it narratively and "we waited years for this" excitement wise and how it took a few panels and turned it into a half episode showdown... might be one of my fav fights in all of Bleach.

The upcoming two battles will top all the previous ones, but so far I dare to say that the new Renji vs Uryu is my favorite of TYBW 🔥 It was unexpected, it was dynamic, it was creative as move set, it was serious on both sides, also I loved the coldness between the two former friends (how they referred to each other as "quincy" and "shinigami", never addressing directly).

In my opinion, Uryu's fight with Renji is at the no.1 spot. The fight although one sided showcased Renji's strength and bankai's versatility while also maintaining amazing animation throughout the fight. In fact, I think Kenpachi vs Gremmy is even better than Royd lloyd vs Yamamoto. The next fights will absulotely surpass these, and I hope Jugram vs Uryu (and Ichigo?) would be in the top 5.

The anime has done a wonderful job of adapting the fights and going by what we have seen of Cour 3 so far, the upcoming battles might be some of the best animated figths the anime has ever had. Truly we have been blessed to have such a wonderful adaptation!

Honestly I really like the implication that comes from ichigo vs yhwach 2 that is yhwach didn't have the almighty he would have lost to post training ichigo essentially without a fight. To me the fight just proved that if the post zero squad training ichigo was the one to show up during the first invasion he would have won and the war would have been over.

As an anime only, the Gremmy fight was kinda disappointing. It had some cool moments but the things Gremmy thought off were the most basic things seen in every other big shounen battle, except for the space warp thing. I know he's dumb be he really couldn't be more creative with his power? The Yhwach vs Ichibe should've just been 1 long uncut fight. They should've done the squad 0 fight first and then the Yhwach fight. I hate when animes cut between multiple fights. It ruins all the momentum of the fight itself.

The fight between Ichibe and Yhwach is actually a phenomenal fight and not many people talk about this. While it may not have the best animation or received an extension of the fight (only slightly extended), it's a major and significant battle not only in the world of Bleach but also thematically. It's a battle of authority and especially the authority over names. Ichibe governs all names and is almost like the personification of "names" in Bleach, making him somewhat like an abstract entity. Yhwach is supposed to be utterly defeated when his name is taken away and gets a new name later, "Black Ant". If that happens to you, you're done for and it's effectively similar to "death". But the "Black Ant" removes his new name, nullifying the power of the "Monk Who Calls the Real Name" (Manako Osho). But at that point, we don't know whether this "Black Ant" is still nameless or not after removing his new name. Has he taken his original name back? Is it possible to do that against Ichibe? We find out later that he indeed has. In a loud proclamation, the man who was once nameless says his name is Yhwach. At that point, Ichibe's power is useless and is completely done for. His authority over names is defeated. Yhwach wins.

I wholly agree with number one, but it's bitter. I remember being young and disappointed that Yamamoto vs Aizen and WW was only one episode. We know we need years of build-up for the ultimate ancient character in any anime, but it's always too short. We waited forever as kids for Goku vs Frieza and we finally got a 4 hour fight. And the ending of Yamamoto vs Rroyd/Juha was the single laziest worst most predictable twist in all of fiction writing.

In terms of story(Despite being mostly about Zaraki's training instead of the person who deserved more lore than him) Zaraki vs Unohana(Although, it didn't boost her up in the popularity poll....she's my favorite Bleach girl honestly) In terms of fight choreography...well it's a tie between Genryusai vs Ywatch(Royd impersonating) and Uryu vs Renji. I'd wait until Kisuke/Yoichiru vs Askin, Mayuri/Nemu vs Peera, Shushui/Nanao vs Lille and Byakuya/Toshiro vs Gerald for final judgement. So far, Kubo state there's more material in this Cour than in the manga. We might get another anime only fight and the extended version of True Bankai Ichigo/Aizen vs Ywatch

My only criticism of the squad zero vs schutzstaffel fight is that Senjumaru's bankai wasn't displayed at full power and her bankai wasn't given enough time to breathe so audiences could see the true power of a squad zero member. Senjumaru's bankai is the strongest bankai we've seen so far in the series (besides ichibe's) but it doesn't feel that way because it wasn't explained correctly in the anime, it's true power wasn't displayed despite it causing the three realms to tremble. It's funny cuz people still think Yamamoto's is stronger simply because it has a more epic showing but it's not. The most insane thing about Senjumaru's bankai is that it can replicate other characters abilities and very well likely even Yamamoto's and other captains bankais simultaneously. It can literally replicate the Auswahlen itself. Easily the most broken zanpakuto in bleach (besides ichibe). It's like a superior version of Enrakyoten but without the drawbacks and the most powerful calibre of reiatsu to back it up

Damn, this is tough subject.. But there are fights not on list deserving to be on list tho i will include just 1. 1. Yamma vs Royd for sure, since Royd used 80% of Yhwatch power, it would go simmilary even if real Yuha was fighting (power vise and fight itself, before medalion asspull). 2. Icbibei vs Yuha, power reveals, massive stake, choreography, all out 3. Ichigo vs Yuha, round 2, power showcase, massive stakes again. 4. Royal guards vs Shutzstaffel. This fights feels like extention of Ichibei vs Yuha, considering that fight carried everything, with this one being mostly to keep RG bussy while Yuha does 1vs1 with Ichibei, so he can stall enough for propper Almighty awakwning. Still, a lot of power reveals and quite a choreography. 5. Ichigo vs Uyru, power reveal and choreography, emotional investment, still with stakes, but collosal holding back, so just 5th. 6. Renji vs Uryu 7. Ichigo vs Quilge (new entry) 8. Rukia vs As Nodt 9. Kenpachi vs Gremmy 10. Unohana vs Kenpachi

there is only ONE thing that I hate the most in this arc, and it's not from Kubo, but from the studio .. it's their decision to simplified the Quincy's wings 😞😞 we got pairs of majestic wings in the early episodes, look how gorgeous the wings were when Quilge Opie released his Vollständig, even we still got the same until Bambietta. but now it's literally looks like a toy 😥😥😥😥😥😥

Artistically and visual perspective the Yamamoto fight is Number 1, but in the grand scheme of things, this fight is kinda of inconsequential compared to the top five fights

I know the Renji vs Uryu match is extremely hyped right now, but I feel it will fall quite a bit in the standings once people start to look back at this in a few years. And the reason is simple. A fight is not just about good animation and crazy abilities (which it has in spades), it's also about emotional and narrative impact and here the fight is simply lacking. Both Renji and Uryu have already had fights that show us how far they have come and they don't have a personal connection on the level of Uryu and Ichigo, so we can't really get the same kind of emotional impact. Seeing new abilities is cool, but our understanding about what each of them can do is not fundamentally changed. And we know in terms of the story that it won't have any lasting impact either, at most putting Renji out of commission for a while. It is a cool ass fight and deserves a spot on the top 10, but once the hype dies down I think it'll be quite a bit lower. Just thinking of the upcoming fights in this cour their impact is just so much greater.

I'm a Kommamura-fan, and I also think Kommamura vs. Bambietta was kinda boring tbh.. And "Kommamura vs. Base form-pre Auswhelen-Yhwach" would have been such a good yardstick battle for Yhwach's power level! It would be a way to show Ichibe's relative strength later too..

I really hope Hado 99 gets some spectacular animation and also some relevance. In the manga it just busted up the ground and that's it, the dragons just noped out of there. It was like Aizen saying "ok readers, we know you wondered about this and we don't have much time left so here it is, okay now that the pretty light show is over let's get back to the battle."
