Either KAT is overrated or Vucevic is underrated. Peewee gets it KAT: 24.8pts, 10.6reb, 4.5ast, .486/.387/.859 Vucevic: 23.4pts, 11.7reb, 3.8ast, .477/.400/.840 The only difference is that one currently plays on a team with more talent, and has carried teams by himself to the playoffs multiple times and one continually leads his team to the top of the lottery.

Exactly. He literally says there's nothing you can say against Jokić, and the only thing you can say against Embiid is injuries. Doesn't that already mean Jokić>Embiid, and even besides that Jokić's decision making is on a whole another level compared to Embiid. Joel's shot IQ is sometimes not that great taking too many outside shots and sometimes trying to power through a double team for a score instead of finding an open teammate for an easy look. They're definitely the two best centers in the league by far, but Jokić is just better than Embiid. One more thing going Jokić's way is the fact he can fit with anyone on the court. You could literally put him with any single superstar on a team and they'll work perfectly. His playmaking is elite to compliment another scorer, his shooting and post play is elite to compliment another playmaker, he's literally an offensive juggernaut that compliments defensive players. He can work with athletic players great as we see with AG. Whereas i am not so sure we can say the same about Embiid.

Besides Kenny practically arguing w/himself for a min, Darrick injecting one bit of sense, and the others only saying, "Gimme Jokic." Which I took to mean, given the Nikola to Nikola comp, plus the Rudy debate (incl AD & Jok briefly), the guys don't feel it's important to give the MVP his flowers; nor put him OR Joel in a perspective they both deserve. Which I took to mean they either don't really think he's/they're as special as some of the other top-tiered guys in the Game (ala LeBron, Steph, KD, Harden), OR they don't mind omitting supportive reasoning for the guy(s) on the platform they have to 'influence.' Thereby kinda enabling the slight, but still real, cultural non-appropriation of most intern'l basketball giants that's ongoing domestically. Similar to how, if also in a different way, Giannis is minimized (not nec here, but in bball media broadly) - even if it really is only slight/subtle, and not a big deal in terms of real impact (bc it's also just basketball). Is it that he fits the LeBron archetype that makes Luka the exception to this 'rule'? (+Simmons for that matter?) Bc I don't get the amt of praise heaped on Luka (+the amt of bolstering of Simmons), when we all see how little praise (+bolstering) is heaped on Jokic. (+Murray for that matter.) It ain't just sex appeal or draft position.

I don't think the lack of talk about the two is because they think they're not on the same level as LeBron, Curry, KD, Harden etc. I mean those two were the frontrunners for the MVP award and rightly so. I think it's because they too believe that Jokić and Embiid are that close to each other that you simply can't argue one over the other and it's just very small details or preference that decides their individual rankings. Besides one thing we can all agree is that those two are on a whole another level compared to other centers in the league.
