Just an FYI - Islanders never, ever called MSG our home. We played at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum from our inception in 1972 to 2015. We made a disastrous move to Barclays the following year. That only lasted until 2019 and we moved back to the Coli once agreement was made to build UBS. We then moved to UBS in 2021. The interior of UBS was deliberately designed to look as much like the spartan look of the Coli as possible. This includes the low ceiling which amplifies rather than eats up the sound of the fans like some of these new arenas. The owners had consulted some of the players from our dynasty years and their feedback was not to make UBS so cavernous so as to diminish crowd noise and turn it into a dead building like the Moulson Center or United Center.

Also, Climate Pledge Arena was indeed gutted from the inside and remodeled VERY heavily as noted. The roof was one they had to keep because when it was the old Seattle Center Coliseum / KeyArena, the building was made to be on the National Register of Historic Places - so that couldn't be touched. That's why the floor is even lower than it was before the renovations.

I'm sorry, but calling UBS arena bland on the interior is ridiculous. I'm a member of the Blue and Orange Army the supporters section for the Islanders and our section was actually designed to emulate soccer supporters sections with "safe standing" space spanning the upper levels of 3 sections on the defending end. Not to mention the massive bar behind us and the MASSIVE banners displaying the logos of the different islanders supporters groups worldwide. On top of all that the roof of this arena was specifically designed to be as low as possible, so that sound travels better to the ice, creating a better atmosphere for games. Also you called the Nassau Coliseum "The Garden."

The New York Rangers were one of the Original Six NHL teams and have played at the various versions of Madison Square Garden ever since their birth in 1926, so it has always been designed with hockey in mind. In fact, George "Tex" Rickard, the first Rangers owner, was also the president of MSG at the time. The Knicks didn't even exist until 20 years later (1946), and ever since, MSG has been known as both a hockey and basketball arena. The Rangers do not take a back seat to the Knicks at MSG, that's for sure. Both teams are also owned by the same entity, MSG Sports, with James Dolan as President.

I've only ever been to a game at Wells Fargo Center, but based off of what I see on TV, Prudential Center, Amalie Arena, and American Airlines Center are the most beautiful looking stadiums that didn't make this list. I also love the Saddledome in Calgary; I am actually pretty bummed that they are getting a new arena. Hopefully they don't demolish it.

I've never been to any of the new NHL arenas since 1994. During the 1980's I had the chance to go Nassau Coliseum (Islanders), Le Colisée (Nordiques), Old Forum (Canadiens), Boston Garden (Bruins). But my favorite destination of ALL TIME was in 1986 as I had the ultimate chance to attend a game at what was at the time THE GREATEST NHL ARENA OF ALL TIME...the one and only old barn...THE CHICAGO STADIUM.

Don't forget Maple Leaf Square just outside Scotiabank Arena which Leaf and Raptor fans fill for both big home and road games to watch it on the big screen. When the Leafs beat the Lightning in the first round by winning on the road in game 6 a few days ago, the fans in Maple Leaf Square went out of their minds. Fireworks, music, fans hugging each other, then moving onto the streets of Downtown Toronto to celebrate. You'd think they'd won the Cup, but it was simply a first round playoff series victory. I wouldn't put Scotia in the top 10 though as it's a pretty old building by current standards (opened in 1999, over 20 years ago).

I live here in pittsburgh. PPG Paints is a mediocre at best arena. I thought they could’ve done a lot more but of course nobody wanted to spend the extra money to make it better when building it. Part of the problem was in building it was land available. They have this church right next door and it that wasn’t there they could’ve made it a lot better. Yes it has a big glass window on one side but I think they should have more windows.

Climate Pledge Arena should not be on this list. The awful name alone should disqualify it. After hundreds of millions of dollars in renovations, it's still a severely out of date, decrepit, ugly place that should have met the bulldozer years ago. The Kraken need a brand new arena fast. Xcel Energy Center should have been on the list. It's full pretty much every game, it's a good looking place inside and out, well lit, and one of the 5 loudest buildings in all of hockey.

Columbus has 2 pro teams nhl and mls. And yea we overlooked when it comes to pro sports. We have Ohio state football n shit but we deserve more than what we got. We’re too big of a city to only have 2 plus we’re the only one of the big 3 cities in Ohio that’s drastically growing. If pro sports teams we being distributed today we’d have atleast 3 or 4 of the 5 major sports. We weren’t always the biggest city in Ohio but in the 90s we started booming that’s why we don’t have more teams nowadays. Cincy and Cleveland are hogging all the teams. I hear the mayor back in the 2010s was pushing to bring a nba team here so maybe that’s a possibility in the future. Probably not near future but definitely wouldn’t be surprised if Columbus brought in another major sports team 20 years down the road
