Some lore about Silly Billy So the Hit Single Real mod (or just the song itself) is meant to be a tribute to Herself (Yourself’s deceased girlfriend) and also Divide (creator of the cancelled Sonic.EXE mod) So what lead to the creation of the song “Silly Billy” was that one of the mod developers saw a sketch Divide made this sketch was none other than the character “Yourself” so in memory of him they came up with an idea to make a mod based on the sketch. The lyrics have a sad meaning behind them as they are referring to him *”I’LL MAKE YOU SAY HOW PROUD YOU ARE OF ME”* if Divide was still alive today he would be proud of this mod *”SO STAY AWAKE JUST LONG ENOUGH TO SEE MY WAY”* as a message that if Divide had stayed awake a little longer to see how far his last creation has come.

The Silly Billy hurts more on a realistic level than the others because I believe the story behind it is that the original creator died before it could be finished so one of their friends finished the mod for them and uploaded it as a tribute. Which makes it hit a thousand times harder when people make those BETADCIU covers where it shows a montage of clips at the vocal part of various other OG mods and the base game songs while the lyrics, usually covered by the person or people covering the song, and it just hits EXTREMELY hard. It's like a blast of nostalgia mixed with the loss of knowing that someone literally died to bring us such a masterpiece. Personally the first time I heard it I wasn't too fond of the Yourself chromatic but it grew on me very quickly after the fact and the song itself is just a general bop, easily in my top 5 of all time now and it holds that spot for many reasons. The lullaby version hits even harder because it's MADE to be slow and sad in tone instead of energetic, and if you get a good female singer to hit those high notes it just rips my heart to shreds. The feels are like sand. Rough, coarse, and it gets everywhere.
