Great video! We haven't stayed at Portofino or Hard Rock, but we've stayed at Royal Pacific several times. We stay there when our kids are with us for the Express Passes. I love Bula Bar and Tuk Tuk Market. Tuk Tuk has delicious pretzels!

Hi! Great video!, I think the room thing must be evaluated too, why? Well, we had a 3 night stay at the HR 2 months ago, our party’s dynamic was basically just wake up early, rope drop, hit the parks all day long, breakfast and evening snacks at the parks, dinner first night just Cinnabon cuz we were tired bc of the trip, one night at Citywalk and one night at the Palm (great food btw). So, as you can see our overall opinion of the HR was highly affected by the experience at the room, which is the place we spent the most time in the hotel during our stay. The hotel’s ambiance was really dark both in the hallways, and inside the room itself, the carpet on the floors seemed old and dirty, the bathroom was very small and simple, the whole theming seemed outdated, not what you’d expect for that price range. I’ve never been a claustrophobic person but the room actually felt like a very enclosed space, so I just wanted to get out as fast as I could from the moment I woke up, because it’s way too dark and depressing. I believe the rock and roll theming has WAY much more to explore and offer! We weren’t explained the ammenities on site, however with such a short length of stay and the super busy agenda we had, I didn’t got to know The Kitchen, the market store, the starbucks and the ice cream shop. So I can’t say anything about them. I’m looking forward to know the Royal Pacific for HHN this year, I think a most friendly, relaxed and light ambiance in the hotel will help to improve the experience.

We don’t swim all day, every day, but I can say that we are still wearing shorts and tshirts in December when we go after Christmas! It is definitely not cold, so the pools are still an awesome idea 😎

RP looks the quietest, though I’ve read complaints about all the hotels having paper thin walls. Portofino looks too big if you want a quick exit. But what did you mean about them all showing movies at the pools? Do you need headphones to listen? Or do they just blare the sound so everyone has to hear whether they want to or not??

Hey there. I would agree with that. Luckily, Seth and I have never had problems with noisy neighbors. We also use a little sound machine to sleep, so we don’t notice the little noises. The pool movies are set up at the edge of the pool on a projector. Guests can watch the movie there. Usually, it begins mid afternoon and is done before it gets late. But no, it’s not overpoweringly loud, in our opinion! Thanks for asking! ❤️

Hey there! All 3 of these resorts are owned by Loews hotels and have the same set up: coffee bar, standard bed, standard toiletries, etc. So, we evaluated the theme of the resort, which is the one of the only factors that differentiates these rooms. Of course, you can have different room types at each resort like suites, for example. But since we haven’t stayed in a suite, that was not a topic of discussion.

i can’t decide hard rock or portofino for one night during orlando meeting up dec .for 1 adults and two teenagers boys. i do two nights at cabana bay beach.

If your boys like to swim, I would go with Portofino since it has more pool options. If you’re not planning on spending much time at the hotel regardless, I would go with whichever is cheaper for that night! Have fun!!

Hey there! The rooms are all pretty similar. So, it depends on what matters to you. For example, the theming or views. I would say portofino has the most rooms with a view, so your chance of getting a nice view is higher. Hard rock on the other hand, really only has the garden view rooms.

Hey there! Yes, all 3 have room service! Room service food usually comes from the Loews owned, sit down restaurants at the resorts! So the room service is pretty consistent at all 3 😀

Hey there. That is actually incorrect for most cases. We get annual pass holder rates (for two adults) and the rooms have never been more than a few hundred dollars a night! The seasonal rates and upgraded room types are sometimes posted as more, but we do not purchase rooms at those prices. You can monitor rates and purchase as pass holder/promo rates are released Thank you!
