Finally, we got introduced to Kodachi Kuno, The black rose 🖤🌹 Of course she’s Kuno's younger sister. You can see the resemblance.😅 It’s crazy how the Kuno siblings are in love with two different sides of Ranma. Kuno loves female Ranma, while his sister loves male Ranma.

I'm surprised i was thinking Kodachi is a new character when i read the final chapter (didn't read the whole manga and didn't remember her in my childhood memories when i saw anime version) until i read the manga from beginning and found out she's already appear more early than Shampoo. I completely didn't remember her at all.

Yup, Shampoo and Ukyo actually came out WAYYYY later than most people might remember. - Shampoo appeared in Episode 18.. EIGHTEEN (actual order, not airing order) , in the og anime, and Chapter 30 in the manga. - Ukyo Appeared in Episode 40.. FORTY XD. and chapter 85 in the manga

This was the first story arc I watched in the original anime and it's still my favourite storyline. This remake has been great so far, but I really miss the musical score of the original though.

Kodachi's laugh is an established anime trope that tells us she considers herself so superior that she can (or pretend she can) get away with the most irritating laugh she can muster and nobody can shut her up. It's called the noblewoman's laugh It is revealed much later that Akane's father (and Genma, of course) had done some very shameful things in their student days. He would lose a considerable amount of face if it comes out. And losing face is just about the greatest fear in Japanese (anime) culture. I think he (and Kasumi and Nabiki) is defending his daughter's dignity by not telling her the truth about P-chan. Like everybody in the family but Nabiki, Akane has strong ability to deny. Before Ranma, she was the best in all of Nerima! But then Ranma came and showed her the girl-him was better at everything, including acting like a girl. Akane is developing an inferiority complex and the last thing she wants is to admit she's a fool to him by recognizing she's been sleeping with Ryoga! At least that explanation makes some sense Wow! I just realized that Kodachi was the first to be shown roofhopping! Roofhopping became a signature technique of Ranma The mangaka, Rumiko Takahashi, was well-known before Ranma of populating her stories with lots of different characters who each had original quirks and traits. There will come a limit to how many people are after Ranma, but that is seasons away Kunō's name is pronounced "TATTY Wacky". Fitting and I'm sure Takahashi knew enough English to give him a punny name. She loves puns

Yes it is. Whether you are familiar with the old anime or the manga, or are completely new to it. MAPPA is really hitting it out of the park with this anime

Yes. because it finally tries to be manga faithful. The og anime was 50% filler. One thing for sure, they got the pacing right. the old anime has super inconsistent pacing. They went too slow for the first season (2 chapters per episode), resulting in low ratings and it actually got cancelled. but then when it's revived as Ranma 1/2 Nettohen, they overcorrected and went way too fast it caught up to the manga. MAPPA's current pacing is 3-4 chapters per episode. This episode did Chapter 11-12-13.
