I’m sure others like me are interested on how the header tank with fuel pumps is mounted. The S-21 has a large area under the forward baggage floor, but interested on how that is different than the Zenith install. Thanks again!

Viking has a tank for the area you described in the S-21. It has the entire fuel system built in.

There's a product on the market called Banks coolant, you can put it into an engine and you do not use any water and the expansion characteristics are almost eliminated if not completely eliminated. It is not particularly cheap but it would be a perfect application in this Engine with the internal exhaust manifold. So that takes care of hooking up I still am not particularly sold on that internal exhaust manifold idea all it does is make packaging a little bit easier.

On a tail wheel S21 would a large NACA scoop at the bottom of the cowl be sufficient airflow to the radiator? Just thinking instead of cutting up the bottom of the cowling. Looks like the 150 needs more cooling than your typical 130 installation.

The ramp you saw in the video is kind of the same thing but yes, a NACA like the Rutan aircraft use would work. The 150 bell housing is larger than the 130 engine so the air up front is used mostly for gearbox and residual cooling. The engine also makes 20 more hp so yes, the radiator needs more air. Good observation

Nice ramp :) Now close down that other opening on the gearbox

Not a fan of burning any blow by oil mist off on the exhaust. Why not run it back into the intake as on cars?
@eggenfellner

You can do that if you would like. The advantage of letting it evaporate off of the exhaust is a perfectly clean engine and intake manifold. The amount of blow-by is minuscule as the lack of oil consumption demonstrates.

@@eggenfellner If its routed back into the engine , doesn't it dirty up the exhaust valves and create compression issues at some point. Especially if 100 LL is used?
