I found a buyer for one of my cars with 2 phone calls..... So if I buy this thing can i fly with you? It's no fun without people to fly with.....Ive been thinking about doing this for awhile now but I kept finding single seat airframes. I want to step up to a Vans RV-8 but the time to build and the budget just aren't there yet. This however, would be good to fly until I am ready to start building...I suppose they hold their value pretty well too right?

Christopher Leveck - yes absolutely I would fly with you! That's awesome you found a buyer for your car. Yes I think airplanes hold their value very well. The main thing which lowers an airplanes value is engine time, but this one has a virtually new engine.

Man I'm just a few hours North and have dreamed of having a 2 seater light plane but budget not there but am working in it, need a regular GA Pilot licence for this or Sport I think I read in previous post, I'm not sure what the difference is but I'm not far from google so I'll know in a minute! I've been watching flying videos for awhile since retiring and have seen some of yours and knew I was seeing an Oregon pilot. With the useful weight that plane can carry, and myself weighing 235 I think I'd be limited to my dog as a passenger lol. Just wondering, with the tundra wheels, how rough of back country landings would this plane be capable of?

Hi, I have a rans S12 also. To answer your question, a generac engine is a V2 4 stroke engine (similar to a Briggs and Stratton). 50hp is probably the bare minimum for a 2 place A/C. I have a rotax 670 on mine, 95hp. Check it out on KZbin @ Jimmyboy163. Videos not as nice as this, but hey, I'm not a professional videographer .....lol. I'm thinking about selling mine.

From what I understand on that particular aircraft if I’m wrong somebody kindly correct me but average at 75% power about 65 miles true ground speed is the average cruising speed but of course that can give or take depending on elevation of the area and the wind and all that ect Remember these things are not designed for cross country so they do a pretty good speed to fly around locally you could push it regional lane if you got a two seater if it’s just you by yourself a few bags you can find yourself a good camping spot their ideal for people that are debating about getting into flying and want to dip their toes into it a great option before going Allin and the maintenance and repairs are extremely inexpensive on these
