Rans S20 C-GMDK First Flight

Nice video, thanks. My S-20 was slightly left wing heavy. After numerous attempts to correct via minor aileron/ flap adjustments, I fitted a trim tab to RH wing.

There is a threaded rod end at the bottom of the aft lift struts. By turning one of them in/out you can very slightly alter the wing twist. With a heavy left wing you would want to turn the rod end on the left wing “in” to increase that wing’s angle of attack. Start with just 1/2 turn and you’ll notice the difference. I think mine took one full turn to fly level hands off. At 32 threads per inch one full turn shortens the strut by just 1/32nd” but you’re adjusting a very large area so the effect is great. This is the preferred way to adjust lateral trim in the S20, quick, easy, invisible and reversible . Thanks for watching, hope you’re enjoying your S20.
