Hey Malin, Johan and Vera... it will fit, it's all a matter of organizing it 🤭 ! I remember my last move from a house to an apartment... 102 cartons of stuff, 40+ paintings, plenty of books, ha ha. You'll do it. Sails look nice. Boat looks great! Be safe and well! Looking forward to another episode of house cleaning and organizing. Cheers! ⛵️

Thank you for this video. There is one little thing - please doublecheck the block in the top of the mast. Normally there is a difference between a mast-box-block for wire and or rope. Those for wire are more V-shape and might damage the dyneema. All the best!!

Great going, almost 100K subscribers! If you want to feel better about all the stuff on your boat, come and see ours. Between tools, spares, previous owners stuff and and naturally our stuff we are loaded. Not sure I told you but Peter Smith who designed the Rocna anchor completed our boat for the first owner in UK. His own Kiwi Roa coming afterwards has a lot of similarities but not the swinging keel. BTW Viera is a real cutie and we hope to meet her in person one day if we can ever get back to Europe.

Now that you have a little bit of time .... I think you should manufacture an extension for your bow. That anchor looks like it will clip the boat when the chain is loosen to let the anchor go. That looked really tight. With waves rocking that boat....It's gonna go BANG!!! 10:39

A brush is the worst thing you can do to teak decks....use a 3M Doodlebug pad, the white soft ones, it will not pull the fiber out of the grain..also TDS, Teak Decking Systems, makes a good non corrosive, bio degradable teak cleaner, and their sealer works really nice as well!! Fair Winds and Blue Skies!!
@deraneaton25764 жыл бұрын
Johan, Malin, Vera is wayyy too cute! A total charmer... :-) I appreciate the way you clean teak. When I crewed the Cheoy Lee 44 'Aviva', my job in the middle of July (full summer Sun) was to sand every square millimeter of the teak deck -- with a belt sander -- under standing orders never to breathe on the gelcoat for that captain's fear of scratching it. Felt like being told to dance ballet on eggshells while playing rugby -- and Bligh looking over one's shoulder throughout. When the anchor drops unplanned, the rancor goes up -- an episode well remembered. I hope that new one -- almost a figurehead, it fits so well -- behaves better with a proper shackle. Seeing how you use springs on RAN II's dock lines, might it be prudent to rig one to the anchor, too, when underway? Fair winds, following seas, RAN II! S/V 'Windwalker'
@thierrydanz18934 жыл бұрын
Johan, when you replaced the main halyard with a dyneema line did you check the sheave in the top of the mast. If it is one designed for a wire halyard it has a groove in it. That will cause chafe on a dyneema halyard.

Hi, an anchor should not be attached directly to the swivel, it should have a few links of chain in between,so if the boat swings say 90 degrees and you pull the anchor up it doesn't side load the swivel. They are strong in a straight pull but weak in a side ways pull. Love your channel. Be safe.

I have broken those swivels before. good call on that. it is certainly the weak point. I am a charter fisherman and i anchor a lot. I pull the anchor with a buoy and a ring when its snagged so that does put some torque on it. I also run a Breakaway, but i would sleep with one...
@larryreiner14274 жыл бұрын
I watched with interest as you loaded all your goods onto your new 44 footer. Do you keep an inventory of what you have aboard and where it is located. I watched a sailing episode where the skipper could not find what he needed and had to buy a new one.

This is one of the best times to put together something every boater wishes they had. This thing is a very good investment. It does several things most importantly it saves you time and money, some people say they are one in the same. Anyone guess??
