Ashworth and his advisors would've known the fee to release him from his contract when he signed him. More fool him for agreeing to those terms. Likewise Ratcliffe would've known when offering him the job. Fools, the pair of them.

The problem is not that simple, NC wants the 20 million for Ashworth and for him to start after the summer window. Thats not fair in my opinion but if NC wants to keep paying his wage for the next 18 months while he water his garden to spite MUFC well they will come out the loser in the end.

Funny that as Newton Heath reds were willing to pay Jesse Lingards wages then happy to let him leave for free despite 2 clubs , NUFC and West Ham willing to pay Loan fees OR buy him, how did that end up?...
