Lets be realistic here. Is Man United a big Club? - Commercially yes, but are they really a big club (like Real, Barca, Bayern)? No.... But the Fans and the Media are ofcourse delusional and expect bigger things than Smalling and Linderlof can deliver. Because of the big club mentality (when you are not), players get over-priced for Man United. When Juve bought Ronaldo for £100 mill, Man United would have ended up paying atleast £150 mill for the same player. Learn to play low until you achieve something. Last time Man U won the champions league was when Ronaldo was in the team 10 years ago. Even under great Fergie during 26 years Man U won Champions league only twice, yet for some reason media and fans think ManU are the biggest club in the World. Andrew Eric I have to disagree with your point. You’re trying to say juventus aren’t among Europe’s best but you’re dead wrong. Yes it’s true that the last time Juve won a champions league was back in 1996 BUT in recent times they have proven to be right up there with Barca, Real Madrid and especially Bayern. Juve made it to 2 champions league finals in three years if I’m not mistaken and look at how the recent results against the biggest clubs in Europe. They’ve beaten Barcelona and they were robbed by Real Madrid last season in the quarters. Trust me, nobody wants to play juventus and just think that Juve have built such a strong team without spending the kind of money that they other big clubs in Europe spend. Juve is only the 9th wealthiest club in Europe and yet they are among the top 3 strongest clubs at the moment. The funny thing is that Juve are not even the strongest Italian team in Europe (traditionally). Juve have made it to a ton of champions league finals but can’t win (2-7 record in UCL finals). I think Barca, Man Cuty, and Juve are the favourites to win the champions league followed by Real, PSG, Liverpool and Bayern. Man united spend a lot more money than Juve but they don’t spend it wisely. Lukaku is one of the highest paid strikers in the world but against good competition he plays awful. United also paid 50 million for Fred who’s made zero impact on the team, and Alexis Sanchez was regarded as one of the best offensive threats in the world and now suddenly he’s not good any more in Manchester. Bottom line is spending money is only an advantage when you acquire players who can actually grow in the system. Mourinho has had success but he was never the right person for the job because he’s not interested in developing players and more interested in spending money to get already established players like he did with Inter Milan in 2009. Juve are one of the smartest run football clubs because they have to be in order to compete with the big spenders like real, city or PSG.

From a neutral perspective it was amazing the difference in comparison. Juventus we’re by far the superior team, actually made Man Utd look like minnows. On one hand you’ve got Man Utd with no cohesion, no tempo, no press, retreated to they’re own half everytime the opposition had the ball. Set up as individuals and not as a collective. On the other hand you’ve got Juventus who are perfectly balanced with a clear game plan. Set up superbly to get the best out of each other, working in tandem as a collective unit. Mourinho has spent a fortune and the gulf in class was unbelievable. You’re going nowhere under Mourinho. Bad times for you lot!
