Oh my goodness I so agree with the other people who have commented there’s no way I would’ve been able to figure out a lot of these directions and new points even though I have knitted for over 40 years. Your explanations are very clear and nice and slow. Thank you so much for all your work.

I ‘m sending you a huge hug of gratitude! I am now at this very part of my first ranunculus, thanks to your video steps. I am beyond excited because I have wanted to attempt a sweater, but didn’t think I would be able to “ get it.” I have enjoyed this SO much already that I am thinking of what yarn or combo that I can try next. You’re the BEST! 💚🧶💚

Thank you Rebecca for your wonderful step by step videos. What a joy to knit this beautiful pattern with lots of help from you. Midori's pattern is very well written but your help is the icing on the cake!. I can already see myself knitting a collection of Ranunculi. I also love your kitty helper. What a cute kitty! I've had this pattern for a few months. Though I admired its design ...seeing the 15 pages in print was a bit daunting to me. Now I see why God had me put it off as other projects loomed large ...think baby shower gift and more. In the time of "waiting" I discovered your channel ...and was so pleased to see your many tutorials to guide my way. I am staying up way too late at night ...and also using lunch time at work to get through the yoke [5 rows to go!]. I know without your tutorial guidance I would have wrapped it all up in frustration. You have been the key to my [so far] Ranunculus success. Thanks ever so much!!

Thank you sooooooo much for these videos. I could not have knit the Ranunculus sweater without your help. I’m a fairly new knitter, have done the basics for years but am now in the process of stretching my skills, adding to them. I’ve had so much fun knitting this. I am at the body part now and feel like I can breathe. Thanks again for your help. (Sue in Orangeville, Ontario, Canada).

I followed your instructions according to the pattern. I have the exact numbers between the markers. I ended up with 2 stitches missing, 170 instead of 172. I don’t see why. Can you help me, please? After I wrapped the first stich after the marker, the pattern says put the next 41 stitches on hold but I have 40 if I exclude the wrapped one. Thank you very much for your tutoriels. I love how you end them with « May your crafting be filled with joy and confidence ». God bless you!
@SunDragonTipsTricks Жыл бұрын
Hi Emilie-it’s been a while since I knit the sweater and made the videos, but reading the pattern, you wrap that stitch and put it back on the left needle, then put the next 41 stitches from the left needle on a holder, so that includes the wrapped stitch. Make sure you are casing on the right number of underarm stitches (3 and then 4) so when you bind off one stitch before continuing on, you have 6 underarm stitches. This is one place I can see a stitch being lost- it’s cast on 3, place marker (only the first time), cast on 4: the brain may want to do 3 and 3 for balance, but the 4th is used in the bindoff. So you have 80 front and back (one is split 40 and 40 before this row), and 6 under each arm: 80+6+80+6= 172. Hope this helps.

hi Rebecca and Liz. this is my first top down sweater. I have looked at this pattern for a few years trying to work out how to do it bottom up. it was too hard so I am thrilled I stumbled across your videos. the 'barber cords' you use can you get them or send them to Sydney Australia? Also is barber the right spelling of them. Anyway thank you for your videos as I am now up to dividing sleeves and there is no way I could have done this without your help. To be honest I think top down isn't as scary as I have always thought it would be. I thing its much easier .So many thanks .I have a pattern from "I knit Paris book " and my next project is her top down cardigan. Thank you for being very generous and very informative with you skills. Greeting from Sydney Australia. Hope you all are staying safe and well.
@SunDragonTipsTricks2 жыл бұрын
Hi Debbie! So great to hear from you in Australia 😱❤️ Fantastic and wonderful on your progress and success :) Yes, Barber cords is the right spelling, the woman who invented them is a barber by day. She is in Finland, so she ships to stores internationally- while we currently do not ship out of the country ( figuring out proper shipping rates has been a bit of a mess for our little shop), we are so honored you would want to get them from us! There may be someone more local to you who sells them, or someone who is more able to ship overseas? Try searching The Knitting Barber Cords :) ❤️❤️❤️
