There was no enmity between Bajirao and his family. There was only clash of egos in which both Kashi and Mastani suffered. Bajirao wrote letters to his son, brother and even mother after the battle was over. So he was not angry as shown in the film. He even took his 2 little sons with him at Barhanpur camp before heading to Raverkhed. He was not sick as shown in the film. Film is based on fiction and lovestory is a creation of Marathi fiction. Bajirao was a working head of a kingdom. Do you really think, his behaviour would be like this? Agar Bajiraoko itna prem tha to Bajiraone Mastaniko housearrestse bahar kyu nahi kara, aise prashna logonko ate nahi, yahi ascharya hai. Filmke Bajirao was ready to quit as Peshwa for Mastani. Historic Bajirao left Mastani under housearrest to follow his political duties. So dont believe in what is shown in the film.
