Only drawback with this movie is. We as audience don’t know how it was in 83, we don’t even know how it was at 90’s. Cricket fans of 83 are seniors who are high risk and not going to theaters because of corona. Otherwise this would have been one of the great experiences for them, so nostalgic.

When BR asked about makeup and prosthetics adding to the acting process, Ranveer veered away from actually answering to that question which is very Bollywood of him as I feel actors in Bollywood dont like sharing credit with others who are equally part of the process in making a performance seem larger than life and yet realistic.. Not taking away from the fact that Ranveer is brilliant but I have often seen Bollywood actors and actresses being a bit egoistic when it comes to sharing credit...

Done watching 83 all I can say is that the film is a big mess, it's too long and boring, the director had no control on the film rather he was more interested in adding his librandu propaganda , Don't know why Anupama Chopra and other film critics are praising such a basic film too much maybe just to maintain friendly relationship with Ranveer-Deepika . Ranveer Singh's performance is just a cheap mimicry of Kapil Dev same thing Ranbir Kapoor did in Sanju ( Dulquer Salmaan in Mahanati , Kangana Ranaut and Arvind Swamy in Thalaivii that's what you call playing a real life person on screen they all internalized the essence of the character and performed it not Mimic it ) According to media reports the budget of this film 270 Crores but the film looks so low budget just look at the ghosla wig on Deepika Padukone and the uneven brown face makeup on Ranveer Singh don't know where all the money went
