I had tears when Anuj Sir said that Netaji didnt come out in the open because he didnt want innocents to bleed. This year on 15th August, I went to the INA memorial at Singapore to pay homage to the real heroes who were responsible for our Independence. It was a surreal feeling sitting there and listening to the story of Netaji and his 40,000 strong Azad Hind Fauj or Indian National Army. Indians didnt get Independence without 'Khadag and Dhaal'. We fought for it like lions

My grandfather was in INA and he joined Netaji in the independence movement. He told us about how Netaji’s one lecture changed their life. He spoke highly of him. He had Netaji’s picture on the wall of his room and always greeted everyone with ‘Jai Hind’ (no good morning or hello). My grandfather wrote a poetry book in 80’s in Punjabi with Netaji’s picture on the cover. Listening about this podcast makes me want to go back in time and tell me nanaji how far we have come.

Same here... my grandfather served with Netaji in the INA and my mother's family home in Kolkata has Netaji's pictures on the wall. I grew up respecting him a lot. However my schooling was in Mumbai and our textbooks dint teach us much about this national hero and what extreme sacrifices he made for our countries.

I'm from Arunachal near Bhutan border, and want to share a story that my grandfather used to share about Indian army. It was during 1962 when Chinese army almost captured the Arunachal Pradesh, Indian army was badly defeated, Chinese army chased the Indian army until Indian army entered Bhutan border. My grand father use to tell that oneday a hundreds of battle harden Indian came to our village. They looked so dirty and thin like they haven eaten for year, the soldiers were asking for food from local in hunger, my grandfather gave them a bag of radish and potatoes which they ate in raw, such was the suffering Indian army went through.

Khoon khol uthta hai jab tum sochte ho ki lakh o Indians maare gaye, hamare Desh ka partition hogaya and have you ever heard that Gandhi and Nehru were tortured by the British ? Our freedom fighters like Bose, Bhagat Singh, etc were arrested and tortured by the police. And Gandhi and Nehru used to support the British. If Subhas Chandra Bose was there during Independence then all these Britishers and the police who killed innocent Indians would get shot or hanged. In our History text books it is written that Britishers forgave us Indians and they gifted us an Independent India. Where in reality our ancestors fought bravely, died and made our India independent. So many little kids are getting manipulated till date due to the blunder in our History text books. We are blessed that we have access to the Internet.

Thanks Ranveer for broadcasting the Anuj Dhar episode. I am 64 years old and I always worship 3 persons. Swami Vivekanda ( against whose theory of swadeshi jagoran, the English creates M. K. Gandhi), Netaji Shubhash Chandra Bose and Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar. If you dig the history, you will find Gandhi started his career in India as agent of the British and earned money by supplying manpower/ soldiers to British. Vivekanada ignited the mentality of Indian people specially the youth to fight the unlawful activities and British got scared and to counter the Vivekanda's theory, they brought the Agent MKG. This is the fact of British Raj. Actually British itself is not believing the plane crash. Anyway thanks once again for the podcast and covey my heartiest gratitude to Mr.Anuj Dhar for his tiresome research on my hero .

Actually, it is very difficult for our Govt to admit that Subhash Bose was alive till 1985 and that he was present inside the country. Firstly, it will spoil our relationship with the UK. Secondly, which is more important for our Government that accepting Netaji didn't die in 1945 will be a moral blow to Japan. Who is a great friend of our country in the far east. Japan has declared that Subhas Chandra died in a plane crash in 1945, and that his ashes are preserved religiously in a temple. This Japanese truth will be shattered with our declaration. And it may affect the bilateral relationship. That's why, Mr Anuj Dhar is absolutely correct in saying, "Govt is waiting for the right time to declassify its complete archives". This is not matter where is Nataji born, Odisha or Kolkata. We just have to respect the real men. The politics made our culture dividend with different languages. It's time to we come all together to change our untold history.

Read his books & all other podcasts/interviews of Anuj Dhar. You can't expect someone to tell 70 yrs. of history in just 45 min. video. Please put some effort from your side & do some research on your own. I am also in the process of re-discovering the past of Bharat. Namaskaram 🙏🏼.

It's true what sir Anuj Dhar had said at 19:39 , I am from Arunachal Pradesh which borders Tibet and our grandfather told us about how the Indian Army threw their weapons and ran, hid in our homes. The Chinese were kind to the locals of Arunachal but they killed every army they saw, some of the Bravehearts stood tall and fought back like Jaswant Singh and Shiv Thapa .
