Raoul Wallenberg - If You Save One Life, You Save The Whole World

Armed only with his bravery and moral courage, Raoul Wallenberg saved tens of thousands of Jews from the Holocaust. It’s a story that has inspired the world. Wallenberg’s achievements are a reminder of the continuing need to fight racism. This film was produced by Riddle Films and marks the 70th anniversary of end of WW2 and the liberation of the death camps.

What a saintly hero, if termed in Catholic terms. But a real inspiration to the rest of us if we see racism and any attacks on Jews. They are a lovely people maligned and always attacked.

My father worked with the husband of his niece for many years. Apparently his brother tried desperately to find him for years, but his family blocked everything he tried and sabotaged him at every turn so they could get the family money. It's really a tragic end to a remarkable story...

The Wallenberg family was and is, one of the most wealthy families in Sweden. He also received a lot of money via the swedish government, mostly from the US. His effort of course cost huge amounts of money. So your point doesn't say anything about his moral character as it might as well just have been some of the money he planned to use in his operation. Even if he did it for monetary gains, you can not deny the danger he put himself in. The SS and the Arrow cross party wanted him out of the way. His impact was enormous and he deserves to be remembered as a hero for what he did
