2 points: first, your Beethoven analogy is great because Metal is very closely related to classical in the way the musicians take you on an emotional journey. Second, Death Magnetic came out soon after I escaped an extremely abusive relationship and it really speaks to me. Listening to it with that thought in mind for a whole new song experience.
@susanconstable2113

You were excited, you were relaxed and enjoying tying up your shoes, you were hilariously air guitaring, you were describing their talent like a young child with wonderment and imagination in your eyes and ears and it was beautiful. This was so refreshing to see instead of all the metal/music snobs bashing a band because they can. You fucking kick ass man, this made me happy. Best reaction vid i’ve ever seen. Beautiful shit. @mfree80286
@mfree80286 3 жыл бұрын
The videos for Frantic and Unnamed Feeling are the only ones I could possibly recommend, and the S&M2 performance of All Within My Hands. That's it. The entire St. Anger album was self-sabotaged for reasons that are hard to grasp until you're their age at the time and going through SERIOUS life issues. Literally "We hate ourselves and we suck, so here, the music is just like us." When they came out of that they reworked a lot of those songs and made them actually pretty decent live and replayed. The two videos are from that era but cut down and are kind of an easy intro. I actually like the Unnamed Feeling video quite a lot... but it HAS TO BE THE VIDEO, it's trimmed nearly 2 minutes if I remember right.

For the recorded music, only the bassist changes. James Hetfield is rhythm guitar and vocals (yes, at the same time), Lars Ulrich on and off the drums (he likes to jump around on stage), Kirk Hammett on lead guitar (95% of the solo work), and then the bassists are, start to finish, Cliff Burton (may he be resting peacefully... died in a bus accident on tour), Jason Newsted, and Robert Trujillo... 1986 and 2001.

One thing Metallica did is take older songs and use the same formula on a newer song. So the day that never comes heavily resembles one. The intro starts soft with Kirk playing his own thing over it. Then the thrashy part towards the end which is very similar to one’s machine gun riff.

THIS DEFINITELY IS ONE TO WIKIPEDIA 1ST. To See HOW MANY ALBUMS THAT HE PLATED ON IN LESS THAN ONE DECADE! Hello. 1 person that you have Never played was My 1st guitar hero of the mid 1970s. His name was TOMMY BOLIN. He, sadly, passed away in December of 1976 of a drug overdose. I was 17 and his death Crushed My World for quite a While. I would LOVE to see/watch your reaction to "Dreamer" Studio version off of the Album "Teaser". Also, MY Favorite Tommy Bolin song is "Wild Dogs" also off of his 1st solo album, "Teaser". Also, a Great jamm song off of his 2nd solo Album, ''Private Eyes'', is the track titled "Post Toastee". Everyone gets to Show Off a Bit On "Post Toastee". IF you love songs with Great Dynamics from slow, sparse, beautiful and melodic to- Boom, rocking out in a flash, and then BOOM- right back to soft and mellow, then "Dreamer" is for you. I would recommend the regular studio audio of all. Thank you. I Love watching your Reactions! When you read it, just Look at ALL he did in a Very Short Time. More than a Lot of Artists/Bands do in their entire Career... Does That Make You Even a Little Intrigued??

I know you've been listening to a lot of rock, but I'd love you to check out Harry Chapin's song "Taxi." Harry Chapin is lesser known nowadays but he was an amazing storyteller and all of his songs are great to just sit down and listen to what he's saying, even if he was never this brilliant musical artist (although he definitely could hold his own).

Frederic Chopin, "Ballade no. 1 in G minor, op.23" As a long-time fan of both metal and classical music, you might enjoy this piece more than you'd expect to.

Jojo, if you're warming up with rap, tell us what you're warming up with. I've asked you and many others before, show us rock fans what we're missing in rap and hip hop. We've shared our music, now it's your turn. Also, it's funny that you still think every Metallica song is a love song in the intro.

Listen to some Avenged sevenfold please! I'd recommend 'Hail to the king', 'Nightmare' or 'Afterlife' as your first song. Easy to get to know them, then try out other songs that might sound a little "weird" to people who are not used to them. (For example 'A little piece of heaven')

Im liking your journey through the metal rabbit hole. Hearing the music in my opinion comes before the understanding of the lyrics. It'll find you if you open up to it.
